They should use Tasmanian timber
Blackwood fretboards, Celery Top neck, King Billy pine body
mmmmm
I only condone the use of these for funiture, instruments and houses
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

*sigh*

It's hard to be an addict when you've got so much cool stuff and don't know what is really just "wow, want badly" (at least with stuff that is available)

What I really want next doesn't exist

Maybe one of these-

Oh wow! Well, I couldn't play the strat pictured there......I'd constantly run my hand into those switches :o

That's cool u thought it cool man 8D
hmm, with mine the jack comes out at the same place as on an RG, and there are no switches.
So on a strat it's a nice clean mod.
The MIDI coming out of mine is great. Just loving playing all my synths. Damn, I shouldn't have sold Linplug Octopus.
I use a Presonus FireStudio Project to get the audio into my system.
I'll post some more audio & pics soon in DIY
Cheers H

I'm trying to figure out how to use bamboo strand for necks:

Also, a friend of mine is really good with carbon fiber so we're working on getting a mold made with the frets and nut pre-made. Carbon fiber is stronger than steel.

Wenge is my favorite neck/fingerboard wood.

not to mention less affected by changes in whether and such than wood :tu:

I was going to use an 85mm diameter steel pipe for a MIDI guitar's neck. It would allow fitting of each fret's electronics.
Hmm,E, could you use a 85mm diameter piece of bamboo? Somehow twin it to the head and neck? It needs to be cut on an angle lengthwise so it tapers.
Perhaps the segments could be dressed back where they bulge?
Cheers

I'm not looking for any new pups, but if I was after a set of active buckers I probably wouldn't look any further than these new Irongears http://www.axetec.co.uk/axetec%20guitar ... ps_114.htm

Irongears have a great rep for vfm, I've got a pair of Steamhammers and they're superb, so I'd imagine the Volts will be the same at what is a fantastic price > £79.95 a pair.

Wonder if Gibson / Epiphone will ever ship another guitar?
My music is a fusion of jazz and funk. It's called "Junk"

They resumed manufacturing 9/2... The dealer I bought my Epi Nighthawk Custom reissue from was talking about the "Gibson truck" still arriving when it was supposed to so it sounds like business as usual except at reduced numbers now due to the seized inventory. Still no charges from the 2009 raid either and the DOJ stepping in to see why, etc, so I'd say this isn't likely to stop them from making guitars.

No link but my next one is either an ES335, a Custom Telecaster, or a Martin 000 acoustic.
AEP is now making custom cables. Let us know if we can help you get wired!

Followed by in the (hopefully not too distant future) a Fender Mustang 1 amp.
