Alejandro, thanks for understanding. I don't particularly like how severely some copyright holders defend their property, especially since as you say it's not a matter of money, but I can see their side of the matter as well.

None of that detracts from the fact that you've taken on a huge task and, from what others have said, done a wonderful job of it.

tropicalontour wrote:You know, it's an incredible achievement. I would be really interested in seeing a track by track breakdown of what elements you used to recreate these tracks. Taking up on the university point made earlier, these tracks, as training materials, showing how all the parts went together, would be an incredible resource to publish. As a piece of art, it is a really good tribute to the Beatles. Great work.
Thanks tropicalcontour for your comments.
I'd be glad to post a track by track breakdown of any song. Please let me know which one would you prefer.

Well I've only heard 'Oh Darling' so far and personally I like it better than what I can remember of the original. You're following the melody of course but you're singing it with your own god given singing style. There's nothing fake about it. The drum timing really adds excellent tension and release in all the right places. I'm downloading it. I want to hear it again and again.

Better than the original, WOW Thanks!!!
I would advice to download all the tracks and burn a cd.

I have!!! ;) Thanks for sharing.

Excellent work, Very high quality performances. I would however agree that the percussion tends to let it down a little.
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

Meffy wrote:This is a very impressive project, but unless you've got permission from the copyright holder it's probably not legal. If that's the case the download links will have to be removed, which will be a shame but KVR's rule is that copyright must be respected. If someone else performed music you composed without your permission, and you declined to give them the okay, I'd do the same thing for you.

None of that keeps me from feeling bad about telling you this, especially after what was clearly a huge amount of work. But I've got to try to implement the rules of KVR impartially as I can.

[edit] From another thread involving covers of copyrighted songs, here's a link to a forum where copyright law is discussed. Ask about the legality over there and see what they say. I'm no expert so I can't advise you on this properly.

Meffy -- I see your posotioin and won't quarrel. But I'd planned to post some covers too. If I merely posted here links to them on SoundCloud, would that be ok?

Meffy, here is the link of the question I posted in the intelproplaw.com forum.
I hope somebody respond.

Bravo!
You really did a huge work. What a nice tribute to the Fab'Four.
I'm not a guitar player but I realize how hard it could had been recording and mixing all these tracks. Wow. Sincere congratulations.

Just a little thing, that is not related to the music itself:
Could it be you made a little confusion between "Carry that weight" and "Walk this way" :hihi:

Thank you again for sharing this high quality album. You can be proud of it.

Thanks Art60, I'm glad you liked it. It was indeed a very hard work (1,5 hours of work for 1 minute of final recording)but also a great learning lesson.
Thaks for your comments!

Fantastic work, sir. I'm also a Beatles nut and sometimes can sing passably (check out the link in my signature) so if you'd be up for collboration at some point, let me know.

Meanwhile, bravo!

I would definitely be interested after watching your song on Youtube. You can sing a lot more than passably!
If you have some project in mind we could develop, I would be glad to work with you.

This guy puts in mountains of effort to make a mini-masterpiece, and this is all you have to say?
