An update which was not mentioned in the changelog - this new version now includes gain stages (+12db) on both input and output controls
Also, the manual is now integrated into the drop down menus and the installer now provides a package of 70 factory presets.

Hmm.. very odd indeed, I've checked and it definitely should have been addressed. Obviously not, so let me look into it and I will get an e-mail off to you shortly.sinkmusic wrote:Hi

Looking it over this afternoon -- looks very nice, sounds better. Thanks for the presets and the explanations for those of us who are not sound masters yet.

What is even stranger with this bug, is that it doesn't only mute the track where MixControl is inserted : it mutes the whole project !?
It is as if it was "stealing" the whole audio flow...
I checked in 3 hosts (Live, Reaper, Ext2) with similar results

Can I ask what hardware interface you are using, and which driver model? Also, you are on Vista if I remember correctly? Ableton and Reaper are working fine for the 3 users I have checked with so far, and I believe Reason is also on Ableton Live, whom I will check with as well.sinkmusic wrote:What is even stranger with this bug, is that it doesn't only mute the track where MixControl is inserted : it mutes the whole project !?

TeamDNR, not to be annoying... but for the EQ Grid... why did you choose to use 16hz and 24hz, but not 20hz? 20hz to 20khz is the standard for the human ear and well just kind of standard for all EQ's.
It only would have made more sense to follow the standard, hehe.
Also, the graphic/slowness issue is still present if not worse (eye candy has been disabled) but still sluggish.
Maybe if you got rid of the whole "sliding" effect when you switch within the mixcotrol small version. Is it really needed? I imagine just instant page flipping would be better/less annoying for most people.

+1 on both. The sliding effect is particularly disconcerting.vaisnava wrote:TeamDNR, not to be annoying... but for the EQ Grid... why did you choose to use 16hz and 24hz, but not 20hz? 20hz to 20khz is the standard for the human ear and well just kind of standard for all EQ's.

Really? It's about a million times faster here than the last beta, and I'm testing on a really sub-par machine currently. Also, the sliding effect can be disabled completely, no?vaisnava wrote:Also, the graphic/slowness issue is still present if not worse (eye candy has been disabled) but still sluggish.Maybe if you got rid of the whole "sliding" effect when you switch within the mixcotrol small version. rlahalla,
I will not rule out my system as being the culprit (Dell core 2 duo 2ghz, 3gb ram) because my onboard intel video card sucks. However, when I have the mixcontrol open it seems to slow down everything else on my computer... when i close it everything becomes smooth again. This problem is however only associated with MixControl... <scratching my head>
You're right though, disabling the eye candy does seem to turn off the sliding...
Thanks for pointing that out. However, there is still a weird sluggishness... like i said though, it could just be my machine.
I just Jeskola Buzz and Reaper... windows vista and xp, 32 bit.
WHOA! Something I just noticed though... when I have Mixcontrol open and "visable" in Reaper my CPU reports 2.1% use for that instance, but under the Performance Meter window it shows 36% use! If i then change my view to another VST fx so I cannot see the MixControl GUI my CPU drops down to the 2.1%.
Now that is some bizarre shit!
There is some really seemingly unaccurate CPU reporting in Jeskola Buzz as well, but its roughly +/-20% CPU with peaks and dips with the GUI is open/closed. That same sluggish feeling.
Any ideas? I can still seem to get away with running 10 instances of MixControl in Buzz, but when I open one to see/edit the GUI the slowness really becomes noticable and choppy.

Hi there, could you file a bug report for this (forum/email) so we can take a look at it and try and get a fix for it quickly? And thank you very much for taking the time to help with testing, we appreciate your effortsvaisnava wrote:WHOA! There is some really seemingly unaccurate CPU reporting in Jeskola Buzz as well, but its not so cut and dry as the Reaper example. That same sluggish feeling though.
