Yeah, I was confused by that too. Actually, I was confused by the whole upgrade pricing scheme. I was expecting it to be €59 based on this thread, but all the pricing was in pounds, which, for us in the U.S., is more expensive than euros would be.zerocrossing wrote: I'm confused. Also, after applying my upgrade code, I seem to remember it being something like £66 (I could be wrong about that, but it definitely wasn't 59) and I wasn't sure if that was the actual price I would pay or the discount I would receive off the full purchase price. Either way it didn't seem to match up with the pricing discussed in this thread. I've never had to pay VAT on a purchase before either, so I wasn't sure how that was factoring into the whole equation.
I can't currently go back to double check the pricing because, even though I didn't actually use my upgrade code, the site won't let me generate another one.

The old webserver, and all the associated banking, were in France, so everything was done in Euroselectric1 wrote:Yeah, I was confused by that too. The new one, like GForce, is in the UK, so they switched to pounds, using the exchange rate on a particular day.
The wrong day from my point of view, since not long after the Euro strengthened against the pound and you guys are all getting it cheap!!
Upgrade is 50 pounds, plus VAT if applicable. If you're being asked for VAT (which would make it 60 pounds) and you are outside the EU, that's wrong as far as I know, so contact support.

I tried that, but all there seems to be is a technical support contact, nothing for general sales or website stuff... unless I missed it.electric1 wrote:Thanks for the clarification, Jon! I will contact support about the VAT issue when I get ready to upgrade.

It's not going to get lost in the wrong department, there are no departments, there's only two guys there! For website stuff Chris would normally be the one to deal with it.zerocrossing wrote:I tried that, but all there seems to be is a technical support contact, nothing for general sales or website stuff... unless I missed it.electric1 wrote:Thanks for the clarification, Jon! And I think any gforcesoftware.com email address that isn't recognized just gets rerouted to support, so you can put in pretty much anything_at_gforcesoftware.com
Hmmm, maybe I could get them to give a special mention to the most imaginative email address... though no abusive ones please!

Here's a little challenge for people...
Who can be the first one to work out what the picture of part of a bicycle on the gforce diary page is about?

Don't know what you win though, other than bragging rights.
It's Chris' thumb in fact.
Big bandage, lots of pain, a second course of antibiotics and still he manages to give you guys support, I'm impressed even if noone else is.

Well, from reading the FAQ on their website we have to be a little bit more patient - it will come, but other plug-ins will come first.electro wrote:What about x64 Native?
But please...
Though I appreciate GForce attempts to create nearly bug free and most rock solid plug-ins, thus delaying updates for a too long time, there will be always some issues, which the developer(s) or beta-testers won't come along.
I for example can't use the FX version inside Cubase.
(see my prior post, confirmed by Dave Spiers via email)
I really think GForce should reconsider this.
Maybe give a try at an open-beta testing or similar...
Just my 2 cents (and hopefully seing some updates soon...)
Best

Yep,
I'm in the same boat!
No impOSCar FX version showing anywhere in Cubase 6.
I can see it being scanned on startup, but it's not available.
Tried trashing preferences etc, but still no joy
I'm loving the synth, just wish I could use the FX version, as the video on the GForce web site highlights some fantastic potential uses.
I'm going to spend some serious time creating a few banks me thinks.
