I recently decided to fully release a couple sample sets I had previously created. They were originally made to be used inside an interactive Flash app I developed a year back.

These samples generally sit around 60 seconds and are aimed to provide free-form textures. While each does loop when placed end to end, the WAV files were not created with true loop/BPM information.

If you are interested in using samples of this type, the tracks can be downloaded individually through my Soundcloud account. They are in two sets simply because of time they were released. I plan to add more extension sets in the future as well.

Original Set - Remixed Destruction
Extension Set I - Remixed Destruction - XTI

If you use any of these sometime (and happen to still remember where they came from :) ), I'd love to hear how you used them.

Also, if anyone is interested in seeing the Flash app these were originally designed for, you can find it here.

These are really good - thanks for sharing.
If you made a load more of this quality you could definitely sell them as a sample pack.

Thank you skitchy, I appreciate the feedback! A full sample pack is definitely something to work toward in the future. I have tons of similar bits in my library already from working on album material. I'll have to start cataloging and looping them.

Do you think it'd be advantageous to create some loops with BPM markings, or is the longer free-form style desirable?

great useful samples 'rust' and 'swelling space'....9/10,im going to load them into reason tonight...rust is pure filth...would make a great bass sound i reckon
live 11 / Arturia collection / many Softube plug ins / thats it

Thanks, damoog! Most of the 'Rust' set was created from guitar bits I recorded. 'Swelling Space' was also, thinking about it.

I hope they can work out for you. I'd love to see them go on and be a part of something great. :)

@kinamlo I dont mind if drones/textures don't loop as its easy enough to create crossfades especially on a sound that is a minute long :)
Its always handy to have 'beat markers' in anything with rhythmical content, but it isn't a dealbreaker. Cubase has all this stuff built in anyway.
This is only my own personal opinion based on the way I work. Other people may vary :)

@skitchy I can definitely understand the need with rhythmic content. I guess I did have a few in that set with rhythms, which could have been synced first and then cut. I'll just have to keep that in mind for future samples.

I own Absynth, but none of these were created with it.
