Um, there have been covers in the KVR monthly contest before though...Meffy wrote:This is a very impressive project, but unless you've got permission from the copyright holder it's probably not legal. If that's the case the download links will have to be removed, which will be a shame but KVR's rule is that copyright must be respected. If someone else performed music you composed without your permission, and you declined to give them the okay, I'd do the same thing for you.
None of that keeps me from feeling bad about telling you this, especially after what was clearly a huge amount of work. But I've got to try to implement the rules of KVR impartially as I can.

Could be, I can't monitor everything, have to try to balance the law / the rules against people's creative efforts and come up with some kind of solution.
I have heard that lawyers for the Beatles tend to be especially touchy, and given that this is a whole album... this way seems best to me. One more click for listeners. Could be I'm too cautious, don't know. As usual I'm winging it and hoping to get somewhere around a happy medium.

Very nice job.
Some timing issue in the drums in Come Together or the harpsichord in Because intro otherwise it sounds very good.

Wow. I just noticed this (due to the link in the widget with "Latest Posts"). I'm a huge Beatles fan and am now enjoying your versions (I'm on "Something" right now). Kudos, Alejandro. Great job!

This is a H U G E effort! BRAVO!!!
Inovative and uniquely styled!
Here's a version of Mean Mr. Mustard on KvR from a coupla months back too and also worth a listen!

I have to say, personally, that if I had a catalog as valuable as The Beatles, and had made hundreds of millions of pounds off the sales, and I heard you do my music, I'd hire a private jet and fly down to your house and give you a great big
Then, I'd tell my lawyers that if they ever sued a bloke who worked this hard to render my music for fookin F R E E, I have them all lined up and peed on by 18 elephants and their clothes-monkey riders!

Nice job mate -- RESPECT!
Cheers,
Alex

Even we English speakers wonder what the hell he's talking about sometimes.
I didn't listen to all of these tracks, Alejandro...I'm not a super-huge Beatles fan but I do like some of their stuff. I did check out "I Want You" because its one of my favorite Beatles tracks, and "Because" (though I liked the Alice Cooper/Bee Gees version slightly better than the original
Yeah, they can be...Type O Negative initially had some issues getting permission to put a Beatles medley on an album once I believe, though at the time the publishing rights to most of the Beatles catalog was owned by Michael Jackson IIRC.Meffy wrote:I have heard that lawyers for the Beatles tend to be especially touchy
