Hi guys (and girls?) I'm new here. I just started using Synthedit-making a distortion "pedal". I want to put an on/off silver push button on it. Like the one on a Rat pedal or MXR. You know the one with the hex nut? I've seen some VST pedal makers have them animated (clickable?) like the Distorque one. I want to do that for mine. Maybe there is a mod or prefab I over looked.

Hi and welcome to KVR. The DIY forum's for hardware projects, and it sounds like your project's software only so I'll move it to the DSP and Plug-in Development forum. Good luck to you.

Thanx Meffy!! Rookie mistake-posting in the wrong section-sorry!! Knob man seems to be the graphic fix.

Knobman is probably the easiest way to make basic GUI graphics like knobs and sliders and switches and meters and whatever. Another possibility would be doing a 3D render with some modelling software (Blender is the sensible free choice) but the learning curve will be much higher that way (unless you know how to model already).OPERA GHOST wrote:Meffy wrote:Hi and welcome to KVR. Thanx mystran,
I took Knob Man for a test drive last night. I was happy with the results-I found the 'morphing' app by accident. For the nut shape. (stop gigglin') That was a lot easier than finding a real picture or the modeling idea. I made it a little small and I didn't do a light source thing but I'm learnin'!!
The fun was trying to describe to my Wife what I was doing. She wanted to know what a hex nut was-I started off saying it was stop sign shaped-not remembering the meaning of hex!!
So I finally said "Look-that's a hex nut!!" Show of hands: Who else failed geometry?? LOL
The thing I want to do most is give it motion (make it clickable?) Not really for me-Once you turn distortion on why would you ever want it off?? But I'm sure a fellow SE Brother has got an app that does that already.
