Cheers and best to all as always

in 07 I was bidding on the matching bass to my guitar, when it went over 1000 dollars I stopped. I paid 650 for mine but once again I could not justify that high of a cost on a guitar (the cost of the one on ebay) at this point in my life.Ian B wrote:Are you not tempted to start a collection Hink? There's a guy over at CM forums who's spent years getting together a collection of Kawais (iirc) they all look much the same to me bar the finishes but he likes them. Granted they're not in the Daions price bracket but are probably nearly as scarce.

Yep, definitely Kawais http://www.musicradar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90321 his *family* is on the 2nd page.
That's pretty much what they did to the Guild electrics: they released a few models as DeArmond, then maybe one or two models as Squier, then shelved everything, except for the Guild acoustics.Uncle E wrote:Hink wrote:why start now?![]()

The ironic thing would be for Fender to buy Gibson and then immediately shelve them.
I use a combination of D'addrio XLs and GHS Boomers. Works well for me personally. I wish that either of the mentioned string brands release one set that is right for me as it is i have to either buy individual strings and/or mix and match between a few different packshibidy wrote:Ok, so it's not about "new guitar" but it's the guitar thread.........
GHS boomer's for LIFE baby! I just got through trying a ton of strings and now they are all back to boomers and it's like
At which point it becomes a 'label' brand...and OOPS..up goes the price...Dean Aka Nekro wrote:I use a combination of D'addrio XLs and GHS Boomers. Works well for me personally. It is Dean, only a cap but that's to be expected at the price. I never really took much notice of the headstock tbh, I'm not one of those where a shape/size can be a deal killer, it'd have to be really obnoxious for me to take offence at one.Dean Aka Nekro wrote:Is that spalted maple Ian? It looks good whatever it is. The headstock is nice also in that its original but not TOO ORIGINAL if you know what i mean
