Not having this is what made a lot of work for me on the hw version and would be awesome!dexterbella wrote:...simple beatslicing...

Anyway is there a chance for auto loop detection?
Well, in truth the algorithms for beat detection are fairly easy. The hard part is integrating it into the UI really.Optomadic wrote:Not having this is what made a lot of work for me on the hw version and would be awesome!dexterbella wrote:...simple beatslicing...

Are you interested in working with me to get the license?elcallio wrote:On that note, I've been trying to build REX support, but with the format being non-public (damn you all unpublic formats!) it's not going that well. I am aware that the REX library is licensable, however I would conclude that I do not fulfill the requirements, being neither a music company nor making commercial products. I fear that REX might be out of my reach for the moment.
A license like the REX license tends to be non-transferable and non-sharable across organizations, so I am not quite sure what you are suggesting?Uncle E wrote: Are you interested in working with me to get the license?
I'm still quite intent on keeping the instrument simple and focused on what I myself want in a sampler. The REX license is free, just restricted, so not a biggie there. And file, formats: still no biggie.pc2000 wrote:Wow! Some suggested that simple disk-streaming has no place in this type of sampler, which is merely another way of playing samples. I don't understand the theatrics about it!
Now, we seem to be at a point of talking about reverse engineering and licensing a file format. Yeah... I guess streaming is going a bit far for something that was supposed to be simple!
My search skills fail me. Cannot find (as yet anyway). You wouldn't have a link would you?gpunk wrote:If you head over to the Renoise forum, somebody has already reverse engineered the RX2 format, It will be in the extensions forum and is open source too i believe
I'm suggesting we team up to get it added to your sampler. I get that it can't be shared across organizations, would you be opposed to creating a single organization together with me?elcallio wrote:A license like the REX license tends to be non-transferable and non-sharable across organizations, so I am not quite sure what you are suggesting?
Soundfonts load as performances. Either use "Load Performance" from the performance selector right-click menu, or simply drag&drop the soundfont into the performance selector (first screen, top text field).Crackbaby wrote:*scratches head* .. how do i load sf2's in this plug?
