works for me

works solid in energyxt, also not so bad in renoise... there just seems to be a problem with vst windows size. But it's not a show-stopper. Simple and clean, good VSTi that I missed in some situations...

haven't used this for years (since i'm on mac), but it would be nice to use this in logic (don't want to use a wrapper) :)
That's great news about the au version as the wrapper doesn't seem to let you use the 'write' option from the synth. You can of course justs save in logic but it's not the same.
The write button is working fine here (I'm using the 0.2rc2 version of the au wrapper, maybe that's the reason... I didn't try with the previous stable version).

By the way it doesn't expose parameters when wrapped, I don't know if it does shows then when used as a vsti, cubase studio 4.5 blacklists it. :(
It must be a Logic 9 thing because I can't get the 'write' button to work. Are you using Logic 9 ?
I'm using Logic Express 9.1.5 on lastest mac os x.

I added the pkginfo file to make synth1 appear as a "real" vst (not as a folder with just a bunch of files, so I could load it in Deckadance for testing), and a preset folder inside my documents (with some old presets, not a full bank anyway), nothing more.

The developer has updated the plugin today to beta 4. Now it's detected in Cubase 6.04, but there's still a graphical glitch in the plugin window, some kind of strange corruption affecting the lower part of the interface as soon as a note is played. But it's usable. Thank you, Ichiro!

Installed this along with the 9000+ presets on my pc() and wow .. i asked in a previous post how it withstood the test of time and i must say that wind has not crumbled it at all!

Trying Xenox signature bank showed me it's a, despite age and function, serious contender for the synth throne :D

The creator of this could add a little more eyepleasing ui and maybe something like a new filter or osc to increase the palette and then sell it for like 10$ and make a fortune! I'd buy it without hesitation and i know everyone else would, yup, even a 5000 year old stone would buy it.

Why?

'cause it rocks!

Completely unstable in Studio One. Feedback clipping when changing patches and crashes every time I try to save my own.

So far I've been pretty happy with Synth1.
:ud:
I've been waiting a while to see a Mac version. Woo hoo!

However, I haven't been able to use the WRITE function without crashing Live 8.2.6.

I just really want to thank the OP for letting us know that Synth1 is finally available for the Mac, and also everybody else who contributed helpful links and info.

As a recent Mac convert, it was getting pretty demoralizing finding so many great VSTs and then realizing that damn near all of them are Windows-only.

I'm also grateful to Daichi (the publisher of Synth1) for porting this to Mac.
:)

You're welcome. I've been playing with this everyday since it got released. I'm amazed how low in cpu usage this plugin is. I'm now slowly converting some of my favourite sounds on other plugins to Synth1.

so true, i for one, also appreciate this outstanding sound quality/low CPU print ratio

Does "Big Tick Zen" manage Synth1 presets ? if it does ; how ?
It would be quite useful to manage 9006 presets.

Zen is useful for managing a lot of different synths.
Synth1 alone can manage the infinite number of patches (in zip format)
In normal format it is limited to 100 banks or 12800 patches.

There are a lot more than 9006 patches. Also, when you add Nord Lead 2 patches to the number, you can end up with around 18000!?
