A fine synth Corona is. Especially the OSC section is a candystory with all those nice waves and all the different possibilities to route and combine them. The filter sounds also sweet to my ears.

Not too much modulation options, but that's ok since it is meant to be easy and straightforward to use, which it absolutely is. And don't be afraid that it's highly based on "Discovery" with a different GUI or something, because I understand from George that it does not share any engine or code from Discovery at all.

What I really miss and would like to see in upcomming updates is Midi Learn capability and an Arpeggiator build in :)

overthrow KRAPITALISM ! you have nothing to lose but your claims.

What sample rate and what length should the waves have to be imported in Corona? The rename dwb does not work. Corona does not find the file.

Piet :)

Post

Preferably 16 bit 44.1 kHz. Why do you rename? Placing WAV files at Documents > discoDSP > Corona > Waves > User.dwb should be enough.

Post

SF2 files can be placed too or if you wish a better sorted structure, create Basses.dwb, Hits.dwb, etc. folders and place SF2/WAV files there. Sub-menus will be automatically created then.

I see :) Zip the WAV file and then swap .zip to .dwb extension. It should work, but the previous methods look more convenient.

Post

Hi George,
Thanks for the info. The import of the Waves is really better. That you're right.

It sounds great - but needs MIDI learn and some forward/backward arrows to access the waveforms - this is something people were complaining about with Albino years ago, having to click and select every time.
Also in Ableton live 8.2.6 you can't "configure" Corona - nothing happens when you change a parameter.

From the manual:

Shift + Click -> next wave.
Shift+Alt+Click -> previous wave.
Mouse wheel can be used too ;)

MIDI learn is pending.

Do you mean the GUI or automation? The latest is a trial limitation.
