Make sure you contact Spectrasonics in good time before a sale - pretty much the only criticism they get is that transfers can take a looooong time (and I think they're discretionary).randyandyvandaman wrote:PM me for RMX. Mine is 4 sale.

My two biggest spectrasonics wishes would actually be
1) Open up omnisphere for user sample import
2) Open up omnisphere factory library so I can delete patches and soundsources I know I will never use

That would open up a giant can of worms because with every patch update you would run into situations where an alert box would tell you that a certain sound source or patch is missing when you try to load a patch or multi.
Maybe a dislike button that allows you to simply hide patches/soundsources from your view would be a more ideal solution for you.
User sample import on the other hand would be wonderful and is probably high on the list of popular user wishes.
I am sure the good people at Spectrasonics are totally aware of that!

Just feel like ranting on the second point (don't take it personally- this is just a generalization).
I don't understand why someone would want to delete patches/soundsources. If disk space is an issue- then don't get a big synth. Or upgrade to a modern system. Maybe they should make a better way of hiding these on a user level- so you can minimize the amount of items you see (I understand this idea on the creative side of things). But why give a user an option of deleting something that they may have no idea has huge creative potential down the road- and reduce their overall impression of the product. Just my rant.

Why are you crying? You can get all 5 Xpander libraries together for like 100 bucks. That's a big discount from the olde days.lotus2035 wrote:Dr.Wu wrote:the additional libs are no longer available separately.
i use them all the time.
great stuff that complements the corelib beautifully.
better get the expanded version right away.
Now I'm confused just like como said!
Thanks for the input guys, I'm gonna stop hijacking this thread now.

The only thing I really would like from RMX 2, other than new material, is a way to process drum elements of a loop separately. Ya I know, that would require how many VST outs?

1. A built in step sequencer / Drum Grid
2. Drum Pads where one can easily drag and drop samples to with simple graphical management of layers
3. Import of any Wav file

You can already do this with "edit groups." For example, take all the kick slices in a loop and add them to an edit group, take all the snare slices and add them to an edit group, etc. Edit groups can be separately FX'd in RMX and can be separately routed to any of the different 8 audio outs for further indvidual channel routing in your DAW.

#3 is already there ... more or less. If you mean individual sounds like a sampler uses, no. But if you mean a sliced loop, just convert your wav loop to a REX2 file and 'Voila!'christianmusicmaker wrote:I would like to see (FOR RMX 2)Liero wrote:My two biggest spectrasonics wishes would actually be

I just discovered that thanks to Gonga posting the license transfer page.Dr.Wu wrote:Although 2nd hand copies are eligble for updates the real bargain updates are only available for customers who bought the plugins firsthand AFAIK
I went ahead and bought that 2nd hand copy. Seeing as I will not be eligible for special upgrade prices I will hold off on buying the expansions as I presume they will be included in Stylus RMX2 anyway. No point in buying them twice. And since I wouldn't plan on selling Stylus anytime soon the NFR thing doesn't bother me at all.
Speaking of which, I did find the expansions in two places here in Sweden:

Thanks for the offer Randy, if only you were a little sooner. I just bought Stylus in the marketplace.randyandyvandaman wrote:PM me for RMX. Mine is 4 sale.

Yes I know...it's the conversion part I would like to avoid. Just drag and drop.como baila wrote:

This is one of those things most of us never dug into, but during my last project I wished I could, so thanks for this pointer.como baila wrote:You can already do this with "edit groups."
