SoundCloud transcodes absolutely everything even if the file already has the target mp3 format, but try to upload in wav format which might be better as wav>mp3 should beat mp3>mp3 in theory.

Also there is the download button, and that is the same file as what was uploaded so no degradation there.

My last effort for this competition, couldn't resist another choon with Zebralette, I will definitely use this baby again.

Ableton 8 with EQ8 on drum track and 2 bass tracks. Also put Ableton limiter on the master just to boost the volume.

7 active instances of Zebralette
4 sampled Zebralette sounds 2 kicks, 1 snare, 1 hi-hat
3 instances of Density Mk11
epicVerb on the snare and on one send

Track is called Savannah Gold

Cheers

I have that with a lot of tracks I'm making. So I'm not the only one who encountered this phenomenon. 8) :D

Earlier this month I spent 2 hours on a heavily distorted guitar lead using zebralette... only to realize that this heavy 3rd party distortion and amps were not allowed, unless it was in the synth... but was fun :D

RuediRena - Heqman Jah (Preview Snippet)

Made with Reaper on Ubuntu Studio, 7 instances of Zebralette, FX used are ReaEQ and ReaVerbate.

No headroom, nasty clipping ... some necessary changes will have to be made, but enjoy!

Cheers

No worries, and welcome! Seriously, we have quite an international collection of music makers here, Spain, Italy, Germany, England, the U.S. and even the Independent Republic of Texas are all represented. Who did I miss?
