I hope you didn't let her watch Star Wars, that would traumatize her for lifeI have a much younger sister (that uses synths!) and I don't feel like passive sexual poses like that are good role models and she personally doesn't like this one.

Even the German tv guide is more "hardcore" than the Harmor mascot

Welcome to the 21st century. Perhaps it's time to get desensitized a bit (read: chill out) when it comes to sexuality, especially considering cartoon characters? Surely your sister faces "worse" offenders watching any basic cartoon on the telly, no?jonahs wrote:I have a much younger sister (that uses synths!) and I don't feel like passive sexual poses like that are good role models and she personally doesn't like this one. Anyway, it took me 10 seconds to edit (deleting breaks things) the AboutChan.png file.
Disney anyone?
Cheers!

Trying to troll Gol, of all people, about not being politically correct enough.....

Your targeting system is screwed up badly, jonahs.

gol is amazing.
BTW, this Harmor is an incredible synth. Deep, fun, sounds awesome. Good job IL! If only presets showed what this monster is really capable of. I guess it was a little rushed, and it shows even in the F1 manual. But IL is an awesome company and these things are going to get better with time.
Gol, why didn't you include the waveform presets (like those in Harmless) in the timbre section?. I know you can create them with the harmonic level envelopes, and I know you can import single cycle waveforms and even analyze any audio file for a single cycle waveform too, but, sometimes I just want to get quick to the action with the presets, with just a right click or a dropdown menu (sorry for being lazy). Why don't you include a nice list of waveform presets in a future update, please?

tl;dr
It doesn't pay to try, all the smart boys know why, it doesn't mean I didn't try, I just never know why.
So no one will tell me if changing the image breaks the full version? Okay, then.
I now understand image-line policy better and won't make the same mistake again. So that's that. No biggie, saved $200.
I wouldn't have come back to the thread if I hadn't found that out, as I like the synth and figured I'd give it another shot.
Politically correct?
I brought it up because of one person in my life. I'm not sure why people seem so sensitive and frightened (?) if other people don't appreciate the same things. Calm down, I don't want to censor your life.
The other posts were so ridiculous with so many weird assumptions.
Countries like Afghanistan and Iran where scumbags throw acid in the face of women? Whaaa?! I didn't force my sister not to like the picture. You crazy.
@Mauseoleum, my sister wants to know why you had those pics and if you're a furry?
@Wildfunk
I didn't post for the purpose of getting my mind changed or changing anyone else's mind. Pictures of magazines I don't buy, about movies I don't watch. The point? I mean, no, I'm not going to use German TV magazines as guidance.
@bmanic If she was interested in animation maybe I'd care more, but she likes synths. She like pixar and studio ghibli better anyway.
I could not be more chill.
Like, somehow hitting letters demonstrates that I'm mad? I basically posted something to show my sister that I support her, which matters more than the results. I think she knows I care and that feels good!

Wasn't that woman a slave in Star Wars? Some morbidly obese grease ball made her dress that way?
Never saw the whole thing.
And traumatized?! In regards to HarmorChan, my sister said "something a sweaty nerd would use for a wank," and "". She's 14 and uses the internet, dudes, of course she's seen worse.
That doesn't mean I'll just throw my hands in the air. She didn't appreciate or find the image inviting and I was attempting to help. We were trying to do something (it was in fact her idea to put a new picture in and she found the image file!) proactive. This has actually been a good learning experience for both of us, in different ways.
I'm a little bummed I wasn't able to communicate in a way that other people understood. Although, in the end there's nothing you can do, but laugh.
Oh well, on with the show!

As you noted, we were rushed on the release and so details are still being added. Harmor itself is completed however.

One question about CPU usage. Most of the presest are using 5-10% of cpu (2.6ghz dualcore)but example preset called (trance pluck (or similar)) takes over 70% and sometimes whole 100% and stucks the whole machine. If I remove the unison then it goes to 40%. is this normal? I know that my computer start to be little outdated but just wondering as most of presets are much more light on CPU. Everything else is working fine. I just want to verify that this is not some cpu spike bug?

Unison indeed uses significant CPU as each unison voice needs separate processing.Mac Hine wrote:One question about CPU usage. that preset doesn't seem to eat that much here, are you sure it's not a matter of polyphony that raises quickly because of its release time? Try shortening the volume release. One question about CPU usage. The weird part is that it only appears when you open the about panel, which is not something you need to do to operate the synth. You could just choose not to open it, but it's with the actual file on your HD that you seem to have a problem? Is it because your PC will be possessed by evil or something? You should be warned that the content of the file is still there on your HD, if I were you I'd reformat, or who knows, your PC could start vomitting pea soup all over the place & say things that your sister has never heard.I don't see it as trolling. I asked if there was a way to remove that image, which there actually is and it's dead easy!
