Diversion v1.01 available

Hi all, I have completed the first Diversion's update. You could download the new version 1.01 from here:

Here is the list of changes:

• - Fixed abnormal CPU spikes
  - Fixed occasional distorted noise burst (not a demo noise)
  - Fixed several voice engine problems in legato/retrigger modes
  - Fixed problems with GUI updating for Mod Matrix
  - Several fixes for Preset Browser
  - Several fixes for host compatibility
  - Added numeric readout functionality
  - Added Midi Learn for XY controls, including Master Morph
  - Knobs can be reset via double-click now
  - ARP react on input note's velocity now
  - Updated license.txt and corrected user manual

Thanks guys for your bug reports and feature suggestions, it is very helpful for me! Some factory expansion will be available a bit later.

Now I can continue x64 version. Afterwards I'll start to implement remaining user's requests and planned new features.

Didnt have the time for any in-depth tests yet, but i can confirm that the XY morphers dont cause any spikes anymore.

Hey Dmitri, it's been a while!

I have an idea that would simplify modulation a bit. How about having one modulation destination that affects all osc's pitches, all osc's filters, resonance etc
So one modulation to rule all osc's destination of that kind. You can get pretty cool results if you for instance have different filters with different cutoff and resonance and then modulate them all by the same

In addition .. being able to modulate master morph x and y with visual feedback! Imagine having master morph affecting tons of parameters .. and then modulating it ........

If a wormhole suddenly spawns in this solar system, then you know someone in Sweden modulated a bit too hard

be careful with the holes, nice picture, thanks! It's a good idea with the all osc/filters target. I'll do that. I need to check if master xy can be internally modulated by design. It would be an evil whirl.

The presets are still a joke for a 200€ synth. Give me a break!

Err.. it's not €200, it's $200 and if you check the website you see it's for $150 now so almost half the price you wrote .. that's good, huh

I actually haven't tried the presets myself
But there's a good reason for it also, the synth begs to be tweaked and i'm not the presetbrowsing kind of guy

The factory will be expanded by me and sound designers. ~200 patches at start isn't a bad thing, I think. The synth costs $150, where did you find 200 euros...

I've been playing with this synth and the factory presets for a while. Here are some 35 presets that I managed to get out of it.

Diversion kind or reminds of NI's absynth, although very different, but you can get some fat FX on it.

Hey Dmitry! Haven't heard from you in a while so I hope all is good in your top secret underground coding lab!

I got two new ideas

Would it be possible to add an envelope follower at the end of the signalchain and then have as a modulation source?

The LFO phase knob, could this be synced to bpm? For instance, you could delay the cycle an 8th of a beat. It's not that you can't do that now, but it's kind of hard to get it precise.

Diversion doesnt work in Chainer,but it works fine in Cubase.

In Chainer the GUI opens but it doesnt seem to receive any midi data ( I didnt see any midi activation led on the gui but as I'm only scratching the surface maybe there's one ) Otherwise it might be a good idea to add one.

Yes Crackbaby, it is possible to add the follower and I'll do something with the LFO. All is going fine, thanks for asking. Now I'm finishing x64 version and a little update with some bugfixes and SFX sounds. I think on the weekend it will be available.

Thanks Lotuzia, I'm going to check Chainer right now. Midi led definitely must be added. I don't know why I forgot about it
