I haven't tested it much yet, but the 300+ MB memory increase when opening the GUI is gone and it now loads and opens super fast.

Thanks! :tu:

Post

How does the memory use compare to z3ta+ 1? I might make the purchase now, seeing as one of the big benefits of the original was not having it bog down my computer like romplers do.

Post

Scala support is back? Oh yes.

Nice update :tu:

Thank you ...

How is the CPU hit compared to Zeta+? Microtuning support puts it back on my wanted list.

Also, how big of a download is it (I'm stuck using dialup)? Do download managers still work?

just an in as I wish to keep tabs on this. I'm one of those who feels compelled to keep things updated but thought (as usual) this cake product came up not thoroughly baked ;)

Post

Thanks for the link. Is there a "check for updates" feature on Z3ta+ 2? I couldn't find one after a short search.

Post

There's not one you have to log into your user account at Cakewalk. All I can say is yeah!!!
I couldn't find out anything about if there's an FX version of 2. Still want to run some audio through that delicious 'metalizer' effect.

This should have been v2.0, Halfbakewalk ;)

Yeah, works great now. The time is coming to use it in some tracks :P

I've forget that Z3ta could make such great bass and Virus like sounds!

Small Psytrance track. Bass and Lead from Z3ta+2. First bars only the Z3ta Lead with a phaser (effects are not from Z3ta).

I am SO glad I bought this. you can reroute the original effects from the original patches. I really underestimated how cool this would be, seeing as these effects are better than any I've found on other synths.

AH! You can even change effects on and off using an external midi controller. How awesome.
