Another lovely track Tim! Makes me want to shake my bootay...nice groove...and choice of synth sounds..the arpegiated motifs keeps things moving along. A nice modern flare!

drums aren't so bad.. well they could probably use a slight volume boost. However, the bigger issue it seems, to me, is the bass is too forward and boomy.. thus squeezing out the drums..

I really like the melody and flow of this one.. reminds me of MOD style songs from back years ago.. but with much improved sound quality.. I mean this as a compliment.. The MOD scene is important to me -- I've yet to hear the level creativity and artistry from the world outside of the MOD scene (as a whole).

I deliberately pushed up the bass volume a little on this because I had been thinking that some of my other tracks were a little lightweight in the bass department. Did I go OTT? If you listen to the section just prior to the reprise of the main theme towards the end of the track at 3:48 you can hear the drum volume increase. That's where I threw a second BD into the mix just to beef it up a little.

Out of interest, who are your favourite MOD artists? I often find myself playing catch-up these days, and it's usually a good idea to revisit the old days with a keener and maybe, a wiser ear.

Favorite MOD artists.. hmmm... most of the N.O.i.S.E. guys (Astradyne/T.wilton, Stereoman, Stote, etc), Necros/Andrew Sega, and quite a number of the guys at KFMF off the top of my head.

Your orginal post confused me when you referred to MOD style songs. I thought you were referring to the '60s mod movement in the UK, particularly as an earlier poster had mentioned The Who!

I listened to the Necros track. Very nice. Then I listened to Darshan by Astradyne. That one really blew me away. In places it sounded like FSOL. I missed out on that era. I only got into making music at the start of 2009 after a gap of 29 years. Another of the tracks is called "Burning Bridges", which is the provisional title of my 4th CD (if I ever make it).
