Anyone tried it. I'm just downloading now.

Looks good. But no iPad version yet?

Post

Ignore me - hadn't read all the help files :)

It actually works pretty well :)

I have to admit it's got some great sounds but with the current version it seems a bit limited. What can iMaschine do that Beatmaker 2 can't?

Nothing but as you say. It's got some really nice sounds and it's really easy to use. It's got that instant pick up and go ability. I really like it.
I've got it running on my iPad and iPhone and it's great to have loads of different rhythms going and switch between them.
I hope they add WIST support and a better sequencer.

Yea I agree, I would like a sequencer, hopefully they will add one in an iPad version. Even a way to cut up and edit loops.

The two things I'd like to see in an update are a time signature or pattern length setting (it already has number of bars but that's not the same thing) and the ability to paste directly into the app from the pasteboard. Pasteboard export would rock too.

Aside from that it's pretty great. Intelligently laid out and easy to get somnething going.

Just got the iMaschine for iPad and will be checking it out later. Anybody find it ironic that NI is making iOS apps, yet we still can't access their flash-based website with our iPads/iPhones? :bang: :dog:

Most sites don't have a mobile version. NI has a pretty complex website too, converting that will be a pita. Also, u can access flash with Puffin on iPod, & iswifter on iPad.

Looks interesting. I wonder how it will size up against SampleTank iOS for iOS music production...

just got it. good for a sketch pad. wish I could export MIDI, but I guess the goal is for me to buy the expansion kits. I don't mind the soundcloud thing (as much as I thought I would). I can always download everything from there onto my computer and then edit more. pretty bare bones, but as cyberheater mentioned, you just turn the thing on and it works. I actually have been looking for something this simple (hard to work with a standard sequencer when you're driving). definitely worth $4.99.

It's a no-brainer for Maschine users.

yeah, I didn't even think of that (I don't have maschine). maybe other manufacturers will take up this idea and include it in updates for apps that are currently available.

Great app but it can crash on both iPhone 3GS and iPad 1. Awesome that you can import wav files. I was able to load some demo sounds and loops from the MusicTech DVDs plus record your own sounds to use on each pad.
