I am surprised it was deemed as release worthy. There are no redeeming features. I have no problem with electronic based drums or rhythms/synthesizers and indeed an industrial take being incorperated but as you said it has been done before, been done a heck of alot better. I will be honest mate and tell you i thought it was a piss take just to mess people about and then it kept going and it dawned on me that it was no piss take. I have a severe bout of man flu at the moment, As soon as i am feeling less dead i will be in touch for a proper catch up man as its been far to longvespers75 wrote:An abomination, that album...and not in a good way. Blending Industrial and Death Metal was done (much better) by Meathook Seed nearly 2 decades ago (the Embedded album). MA are late to the party, and this failure sounds dated and bad.Dean Aka Nekro wrote:Morbid Angel - Illud Divinum Insanus, Well i thought that Cryptopsy lost the plot in 09' with thier last record which saw them jump aboard the 'deathcore' sort of vibe and the results are still cringe worthy listening...Morbid Angel or rather Vincent has taken losing the plot to a whole new level! It is an album missing at least three members and sounds like a really crap attempt at a sort of 'industrial-style' reworking of/remix of domination minus all the elements which make domination a good album. They might as well just hooked up with that Skrillex and done a dubstep record. 8 Years for that heap of shit? Nice one![]()
