Hey kids! I want to get into the world of DIY. I want to build synths and midi controllers. But Where to start ?
I've got a good handle on circuit bending and I'm trying that this weekend. I'm hoping to get good at building my own synths and midi controllers as well. SO! where to start? I'm looking through the DIY forum currently but would like site suggestions. One big thing I'm wanting to do is build a large "Midiboard" which would have many knobs and sliders to control softsynths, a board with maybe 30 knobs and 20 slider to assign to every virtual slider/know on any given softsynth/drum machine. Is this even possible? If so, I'll build it!!
Thanks for any help, ScottAC

The Music From Outer Space WSG is a good starter project. Also the Bleep Labs Thingamagoop.
As for DIY midi stuff... Analogue Haven carries Doepfer's MIDI boards. Livid instruments also has a builder section.
