<quick save> well, you know, when he's recording _other_ people playing guitar, of course....GaryG wrote:are you saying hibidy may need help in that dept? Hmm?chroma wrote: you can use melodyne for lots of things besides vocals... shoring up the timing of a guitar riff, for instance
i don't know which melodyne is actually included, but considering melodyne already has a 'melodyne studio' product which is kind of like a melodyne daw, hard to imagine they'd give away the store for cheap. guessing it will be equivalent to essential (which is monophonic, and doesn't include the formant shifting) but we can hope...

So, what are the odds that there would be any difference between
(a) upgrading from Artist to Pro now [$100 until 31 Oct.], and then upgrading to V 2;
(b) waiting for V 2 and upgrading then, from Artist?

Sorry, but your question implies that I DON'T need help in all other areas, this is erroneous.GaryG wrote:are you saying hibidy may need help in that dept? Hmm?chroma wrote:hibidy wrote:I do not want the melodyne stuff (could have something to do with the fact that I NEVER EVER EVER do vocals)

Nobody knows (afaik anyway). The sale doesn't end until Oct 31st but there seems to be a reasonable chance that the pricing and everything else may be published before then, making that decision much easier.lockheart wrote:So, what are the odds that there would be any difference between

That's obviously speculation on my part but it's not completely out of left field. Various rumors seem to suggest that there may be a two week (or so, give or take) window there between seeing the new prices and the current sale ending.
If that turns out to be the case you can crunch the numbers then and do whatever looks best.
Anyway, some of the various (more credible

Any idea if S1Pro V2 will offer some pattern based sequencing/arranging features, i.e. similar to FL10, Live 8, Arranger Track in Cubase, etc. ... ?
I remember tons of requests for this type of functionality for V2, hope to see something of this nature added in V2.

That's true. But I wouldn't have to juggle two DAWs if S1 offered some form of pattern based sequencing. This has been a feature requested tons of times, and is not a luxury, but imho a very useful, musical feature, allowing experimentation, arranging ideas, ...etc.Resonator63 wrote:FL works well rewired into S1.Muziksculp wrote:Any idea if S1Pro V2 will offer some pattern based sequencing/arranging features, i.e. similar to FL10, Live 8, Arranger Track in Cubase, etc. ... ?

I find pattern-based editing features to be missing in many DAWs on the market. Hopefully S1 won't make that mistake. Having this type of feature in V2 will give them a big boost in advantages over the competition.

FLStudio loads in as a VST or VSTi right?? Just route midi out from it into one of the tracks in S1. Or try something like Thesys - which looks pretty good feature wise!
