Yes, it's OK if you want to produce trance music in FL Studio 10, there's no need to worry about it or feel inferior. Just make great music using the tools you love.
Some would call it validation
Enjoy!
Peace,
Andy.
I don't agree mate.ZenPunkHippy wrote:I reckon the answer Muziksculp is looking for is this:

However, we already confirmed it isn't as popular as he thought.Mushy Mushy wrote:I don't agree mate.ZenPunkHippy wrote:I reckon the answer Muziksculp is looking for is this:

IMO he just wanted to know why it was so popular, just out of curiosity.
Don't read anything more into it.
Yes agreed.VitaminD wrote:However, we already confirmed it isn't as popular as he thought.Mushy Mushy wrote:I don't agree mate.ZenPunkHippy wrote:I reckon the answer Muziksculp is looking for is this:

Within a very small sample of musicians. Maybe that's what the OP's looking for. Maybe it's "all" trance musicians. Dunno.VitaminD wrote:However, we already confirmed it isn't as popular as he thought.
Nobody said there was. I asked what your overt agenda was, since you didn't say. (Everyone has an agenda; not all are the potentially insidious hidden kind.) Without knowing what your purpose was, it would be difficult to explain things to you in a meaningful way.Muziksculp wrote:There is no hidden agenda
As were the replies explaining the reasons why you would not be able to get an answer as you would like to. Life's like that sometimes. Accept that a ballpark guesstimate is what you will have, or start emailing every trance producer alive to ask them to answer your poll, because that's the only way you'll find an absolute answer.I hope I clarified my intentions for asking my question, although, I don't feel it is necessary, given that my question was very clearly stated
You know that? Interesting. I'm much less certain that is true.Muziksculp wrote:I could have easily asked if 'Protools' was the most popular DAW in commercial recording studios, but.... I 'KNOW' the answer is YES, hence I didn't ask, and I don't need to know any sales figures to come to that conclusion.
Ahhhh except there was provided a list of most major, commercial trance artists currently writing trance music (which showed Logic and Cubase are used substantially more) ...this negated his view that FL is popular with trance artists (in general). The answer to his question was provided in showing the viewpoint the question was based on wasn't entirely accurate.Meffy wrote:Within a very small sample of musicians. You can't ask people for data that don't exist and expect a serious, accurate reply. You deal with what is, and make your decisions accordingly.
It is absolutely true. I have spoken with every commercial recording studio and not only is Pro Tools the most popular it also won Miss Congeniality as well as the swimsuit competitionbmrzycki wrote:You know that? That's not Pro Tools, it's Ridgid Tools. They're most popular with auto mechanics. I know because I've seen the walls of several garages and repair shop offices.dgkenney wrote:as well as the swimsuit competition :)

We do reveal that our demo is downloaded and installed (on average) over 30,000 times per day. Even we are surprised...every daytrimph1 wrote:Most music devs are still privately owned hence trying to get sales figures is next to impossible...
