Wow, great news. To be honest though I am on a 32bit host and am totally satisfied with it already, any improvements are just a bonus.

As a registered owner, can I just download it from the site or will you be sending links?

Post

Just download it and install over your current version.

Great news :)
thanks !!!!

Hi,
Thanks for the update. I installed over the previous version but now my keyfile is not recognized. Any ideas?

Cheers

Post

Most probably, because it now stores all data files in
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Big Tick\Rhino
or
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Big Tick\Rhino
, depending on your system (32/64 bits).

This is where your keyfile should go. I will update the manual accordingly.

Ah great - that works. Thanks again!

Great news! I'm on Win 32 (for now), but this helps "future-proof" the Rhino knowledge I'm building up. Like the look of the new skin too!

Thanks

Was just going to say the same things as stimresp, put the key in roaming and is working fine now. Panic over, phew.
Thanks for the update.

Thank you!

Thanks for the 64-bit... but I REALLY dislike the new skin... it is much harder to read now. Especially the Osc1, 2, 3, 4, etc on top. Dark gray with light gray text? Are you just being mean? :P

Since you are heavy working on the code... could you please implement a GUI re-sizing features like uHe products? It would really help with modern monitor screens.

Also, please allow me to choose between the two skins... the new one is really pretty bad. :(

I will be sending you a contact message because my purchase no longer shows up in my account.

Thanks,
Forrest

Well the feedback I've had so far is that the new skin is much more readable, so who knows...

You can still use the older one if you still have the 2.09 installer - just replace the skin/ folder with the older one.

I'll look into your account problem in a second.

I think it is more readable because you changed the Font Style... that old font with the White and Black outline was very tough to read, but the color scheme here is much harder overall.

I guess I may have to make my own skin... damn.

Any thoughts about a re-sizable GUI? That could really help for future proofing/adaptability...

Thanks,
Forrest

To be honest, don't keep your hopes up for the resizable GUI. It would be a tremendous amount of work for a free update.

Post

Well, it may be a lot of work, but i imagine it would also bring in a lot more interest. Rhino2 is an amazingly flexible and versatile synth that could be a stable, staple for years... the resizable GUI might be what makes more people take the plunge. The size of the GUI and text have been my gripe from the beginning and the only thing that makes me overlook Rhino2 as my first choice synth.

Just trying to help... not trying to offend. :)
