Attributes is a "pane" in the "Browser" page scroll down & you will see a "Version 2.5" option
I think in a future update I should separate that attribute and make it another selection between versions... Or add a selection to the config file?
Yes that's probably a good idea, as many people aren't seeing that in the menu, and miss out on presets that are in there. Does the quickstart guide for SM mention it? Is the manual still in the works?

I have too many questions :hihi:

Yeah it is in the works. Might have another "weekly" update this weekend, :hihi:

Found it under Browse, Attributes, scroll down 2.5 'uncheck'. Got it. On the interface.

Hi Bulent,

while programming some presets based on the multisamples and single cycle waveforms i recently have done for use in SM2.5 i found a strange behavior of the Reverb FX.
First is that it seems to use a quite high amount of CPU (around 8-10% on a Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU) and second it also uses the same amount when no note is played. With other FXs i could see this too (e.g. Chorus, Ensemble, EQ, Phaser) but only when i use more than one and it's only 1-3%.
Extrnal Reverbs like the one in Ableton Live 8, the Focusrite Reverb (plugin suite included with my audio interface) or the free Kjaerhus Classic Reverb got much less CPU use (around 2-4%).

Anyway i used the Reverb in some of my presets as it sounds nice IMO.

I have checked this in Ableton Live 8.2.2. on Windows 7 32-bit and a Core 2 Quad Q6600 (4 x 2.4 GHz) CPU. The audio interface is a Focusrite Saffire 25 Pro DSP.

8-10 % for Reverb? That's way too much. I'm getting around 2-3% on "draft" quality with "large" buffer size.

Hi Bulent,

i had "Better" as quality setting but it does not change with lower settings.

Are you setting the global engine quality? or preset quality?

Hi Bulent,

i guess i found the solution. I have changed the setting in the preset but not in the global setting. With Draft in the global setting i got around 3% of CPU use for the Reverb and around 6% in "Good" quality. In the highest quality mode it got around 10-11%.

It's a bit confusing to have two places for the quality settings. Do the settings in the preset quality have any effect? Currently the global settings seem to override the preset settings.

PS:
Which email could i use for sending you the final presets (+ samples/waveforms). To your Yahoo address?

yahoo is fine yes!

It might be confusing, but it has a purpose: Globally overriding preset settings, which might be useful when rendering...

Just set global quality to "Preset" and then the preset quality will take effect.

This is true for engine buffer size, pitch bend range, and tuning scale as well.

Ahh, thanks. Still lot to learn about this synth it looks... :D
The override is really clever especially if you got a slower CPU and got problems with higher settings.
