Unfortunately Density MkII is still crashing to desktop with Reaper. But I assume that was not being adressed anyway within this update?
cheers
No, thats a SM compiler issue, already discussed with the developers.

Works in Wavelab now, but the meters freeze when playback is stopped.. though not a big minus.

I've known about it for a while but just gave it a full test run a few days ago...Same goes for EpicVerb...Two monster plugs.. :tu:

I hope, they can find a fix for this.
I will try it with Reaper 3.13, it has some bug fixes related to SM plugins, if I remember correctly, maybe it's already solved.

3.13 (and 3.131 pre2) has no trouble with 2.01 here so far.

Thanks for that compressor. Great flavour. Great interface.
Will mix for fun

This is fast becoming my favorite compressor!

I love this

But is there a way to use it without the harmonic distortion and colouration?

I'm not always keen on the harmonics added

There is no harmonic distortion in Density mkII. The colouration depends solely on its frequency dependent compression behaviour. Where did you hear such things?

ooh replying to myself almost exactly 3 years later. :hihi:
I love the bootsie stuff but haven't been able to use them at all in Cubase 5 since going 64bit. :?

I have good monitors, Focal Twin 6 BE, and I can hear the 2nd harmonic distortion being added in, makes it sound brighter and more edgey, compared to original or other neutral software compressors or my hardware ones.

I use a lot of analog synths and Nebula for colour, so I don't want something else changing the tone.

There is no 2nd order harmonic added. The subtle colouration depends solely on the frequency dependent compression behaviour.

Ok what would happen if this colour was removed? :)
