Really? iPhone only and NOT even Universal app?! So why on earth every single promotional video features SampleTank running on iPad?
Releasing such music app these days that is not iPad native is just plain ignorance. How very disappointing indeed…

Thanks for reply Brian. Two questions though:
1. Will it be a free update and...
2. When can we expect it..?
I've got burnt once before with NanoStudio promise of iPad compatibility update - 1 year and counting...

It will be a free update.
I don't have a date on when it will be, but we are definitely aiming to expand SampleTank iOS quickly. We will keep you posted.

I have been informed that our ETA is the beginning of December.
I understand the hesitation that a bad experience can give you, but NanoStudio is not an IK app, and you can rest assured we take development very seriously and will deliver.

I'm wake up very early this morning for buy and download this app and have the time to try it before working...
I'm clearly disapointed by this app...
As i understand as trying it, you can't choose your effects for the instruments...
You can't record what you play...
You can only import pre recorded grooves....

I'm sorry but i don't understand the use for this app...
Except have to buy an irigmidi to connect it to a keyboard or a laptop
But i have so much better sounds on my laptop (as everybody i think)
If i buy a music app for ipad... It's for make and record music with ipad...
I am wrong ?

It takes time to build an all new sample library, particularly one that rises to the new level we're setting with SampleTank 3. We have one of the best in the business dedicating every day for more than a year now to create that ultimate sample library, and we are progressing on schedule.

When SampleTank 3 is complete, it will be the only sampler instrument/library you will need, complete with all of the features, sounds, and quality you expect from a modern sampler.

Ok i admit i'm curious - i have only registered here because of this discussion.

I quite agree, that its insanity that every promo video is ipad and its released as iphone only, with no word on the site or the description about the ipad. Especially as up til now you have always released seperate iphone / ipad apps, i want this but i do not want to pay for it twice, especially i do not want to buy the iap intruments for the iphone and then buy them again for the ipad.

Uptil now your company has always released non-universal apps, so how are we supposed to guess that this is now your first universal app when you dont tell us ???

At the moment i am very unsure if i should buy this, you say its universal, your company does not ?
And i remain convinced that your marketing department is insane, releasing only videos of the ipad, and then releasing an iphone only version with no mention anywhere about the ipad ? Do they think we are all stupid ? and cannot tell the difference between an ipad and a iphone ?

I am very interested in the app, but please get your shit together and let us the customer whats going on !
I can wait and buy an ipad version when its coming, but i do not want to buy this twice.
