At the moment i am very unsure if i should buy this, you say its universal, your company does not ?
And i remain convinced that your marketing department is insane, releasing only videos of the ipad, and then releasing an iphone only version with no mention anywhere about the ipad ? Do they think we are all stupid ? and cannot tell the difference between an ipad and a iphone ?

I am very interested in the app, but please get your shit together and let us the customer whats going on !
I can wait and buy an ipad version when its coming, but i do not want to buy this twice.

It's the lack of a sequencer, and not being able to choose fx that puts me of this.

Anyone able to stack two instruments? It says to select one, and then another while continuing to hold the first, but I have been unsuccesfull.

So,disapointement increase !
The grooves are one bar only...
You can't change or choose the tonaity af the grooves...
All in 4/4...
The tonality of the preset is not included in the name...
You really have to make a MAJOR update !!!

Is it possible to import/compose your own multi sample instruments like in "BeatMaker 2". I have allot of instruments sound on my PC that I would like to use on my iPad.

Hi Brian,

Just to clarify about compatibility:

- If I'm using the current Sample Tank version on the iPad, do I need the iRig to connect my keyboard, or can I use other Core MIDI interfaces such as the Camera Connection Kit?

- If not, is it intended to introduce this compatibility into the forthcoming iPad update in December, or will this require the iRig as well?

Not so favourable reviews so far and I have to regrettably say that I do agree with most of them.

Brian, since you have listen to me so far and replied promptly (thank you very much), what is the deal here?
Obviously your SampleTank customers are VERY unhappy (including myself I'm afraid)...
I feel that I just wasted $10 for app that I will never use again...
Oh well, It's just money I guess... ;)
BTW; I would like to know what was the driving force from the company like IK to release iPhone only app to begin with ... and what about that CCK support or should I say lack of it...! :(

I'm totally agree, and maybe it's time to be positive.

Sound's are really nice. That's the good and only good point.

But now, you read that we're dispointed and it's time to tell us what's the future of sampletank. Not to tell us ''"wait, there will be an awesome update soon". Not again, you have to tell us what's your plan for the app we buy.

I think we all agree to ask for :

Record, copy and paste
Assign the effects we want to the instruments
Ipad version
Sequencer

And later audio treatment....

And sampletank will be the best app we could hope

SampleTank works with all CoreMIDI devices, including the Camera Connection Kit. It works on iPad in x2 mode for now. Full universal app support will come in version 1.1. We will be adding a number of features like MIDI sequencing very quickly.

Thanks for making it a free update. I suppose it'll be fun on the iPhone, but the iPad really lends itself well to this sort of function. For church, it's pretty much going to kill the need for a hardware synth, when used with an iKlip.

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? IK said it would be free, and they said it'd be in December. Do you need a flashlight, so you can read the rest of the thread whilest your head remains up your ass?

The negativity on this forum is ridiculous.
