Thanks Brian. I suggest you make that clear in the app description - there is a lot of confusion on this on other forums. I know you want to push the iRig MIDI, but you'll undoubtedly get much more business if people know they can use the CCK.Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:SampleTank works with all CoreMIDI devices, including the Camera Connection Kit. Hello Brian, I just tried sampletank for ios with my iPad 2 (iOs 5) and the Alesis IO Dock. Midi is working, but the audio is distorted (I tried all possible selections in the setup, restarted everything, cleared the memory - but the sound remains distorted).Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:SampleTank works with all CoreMIDI devices, including the Camera Connection Kit. With the CCK and my iPads headphone the sound is clear, but using the IO Dock results in very distorted sound (as if there were major latency problems, but that shouldn't be the case)
All my other music apps work flawlessly with the ioDock, never had Audio Problems with it, only with sampletank. But I really do want to use the Alesis IO Dock with your sampletank - both together could be an unbeatable combination!
Please could you have a look into this? Thanks in advance!

Any info on how long the $10 special offer will be available, and how much the price will increase in the future.
I'm definitely interested in this, but am slightly broke this month.

@Eagle J Contact Support so we can help you get that figured out. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/support
@CT The full price is $9.99 + $4.99 for the add on packs or $39.99 for all of the add on packs.
@Insania It has been submitted to Apple we are just waiting for it to be approved.

---I like the Sampletank and use it via my Midi Mobillizer on my iPad. I've bought one of the expansion packs (Trons) and they rock! I've made a few request that sometimes get answered but I know they're busy. I bought this because of the Sampletank bundle I bought for my computer and the videos showing the program on the iPad. This is kind of deceptive advertising but still I do like it even if I can't get the piano to sound like the one on the video.
1--There needs to be a video showing the expansion packs and what they offer sound wise.
2--The videos showing the program on the iPad loaded with sounds that aren't on it really needs to be pulled. This gives a really false impression!
I am a fan of IK and this doesn't really diminish them in my eyes but December for a real release date? At the rate things are progressing by December this will be old news and probably hard to sell unless some real changes are made. For me and obviously for a few others the patterns are useless, I know you must've made them for a different market.

All of the sounds in the videos are the sounds that are available to you inside of SampleTank iOS. There are many expansion packs to choose from and if you want every sound available we do offer a discounted price of $39.99 for all of the expansion packs.
SampleTank iOS works fine in 2x mode. The update will be a FREE update to make it a universal app.

Well I've been convinced and I've bought it, and I'm very happy with it to be honest. My needs are probably different to many others but it suits them well now. I really want recording, ACP and a native interface, but can wait a while for that.ObiK wrote:The full price is $9.99 + $4.99 for the add on packs or $39.99 for all of the add on packs.
Here's a question: if I buy some add on packs, say 4 for $20 (or £16 in my case but I'll keep it simple), then decide I want all of them, can I just pay a further $20,or would it be the full $40, effectively rebuying the ones I previously bought? Essentially do I need to know whether I want the lot before I buy a single pack to avoid wasting money?
Cheers

I bought Sample Tank for my iPad. To be honest. It's insane how cheap this is relative to how much a quality rompler library cost in the real world.
I think I'll buy all the expansions for this next month when I've got a few more pennies.

@jkhamhl Awesome! Glad you liking SampleTank iOS! To answer your question: Buying some add-on packs at $4.99, the in-app shop will keep showing the all-sound packs bundle at $39.99. By purchasing it you will be re-purchasing some sounds you have already BUT it will still save you a lot as the all-sounds pack saves you over 60% vs buying all the sounds packs at once.

Purchasing sounds does not increase the size of the apps, since they are all downloaded with the first install and simply activated by purchasing.
We did that to avoid downloading extra bundles that would have been a nightmare on mobile devices connection. Such as a 3G network.

I'm sorry, but does this even make sense?ObiK wrote:Purchasing sounds does not increase the size of the apps, since they are all downloaded with the first install and simply activated by purchasing.
