Nexus is probably the ONLY synth I don't mind paying for skins. It's that good.

Software only sells for whatever price customers are willing to pay for it.

So once people decide not to pay outlandish prices, the vendor is then forced to lower the price of an exhorbatently priced product to something more appropriate.

Hmmm...I don't find Nexus itself expensive at all(it's not just me as you can see from previous posts). However, I DO find the expansions a bit expensive(that's why I'm waiting for the sale

) and the skins are DEFINITELY expensive(as I said, they all should be free). BUT, I can't wait till they become free as I'm buying the product in December and will start working on a project that probably will have 10-20 instances of Nexus, where I want to apply different skins for convenience. Yes, I prefer convenience.

Why are nearly every Nexus presets so OVER DRENCHED in reverb and delay? In order to make a lot of patches sit well in a mix you have to really turn down the reverb and delay, or just get rid of the reverb altogether since it sounds little harsh to my ears. Also, so many of the expansions sound similar to the factory sounds. To be fair, though, I've only used Nexus at a friend's studio and haven't had unlimited hours to go through it like I would if I owned it myself.

I know what you mean but it is really easy to turn off the reverb.

+1. Same thing goes for the lower frequencies. Too heavy on the low end. But that's also very easy to fix.

In that you tube video looks like you don't know what you're doing, trying every single parameter out, one by one.

Also you're not 'designing' anything, you're just tweaking existing sounds.

Because Nexus uses a very high end reverb and also because most stereo keyboard / synth lines stabs/ lead etc in the chosen genre of Trance, Electro rely on this effect for maximum crowd control, stereo imaging/ panning/ depth.

This is not the only reason why Nexus stands out in the crowded market and why it is worth the 249 usd.

Buy the copy and fall in love all over again.
