Thanks for effectively cancelling all the sleep I'll ever have again (my phone is plugged in next to my slumber you see) :hihi:

Long time user of Camelspace and Camelphat (still have V2 for Windows)... and I find them to still be the most useful plugins I own....

Yes, this is a great rompler, I have no use for the "pro" features, but the soundsets are really tempting me... :)

excellent app! i think it gives a lot of soft synths a 'run for the money'! very clear and lush sound on the iPad 1.

the big problem, though, is getting midi into the iPad. there's no public midi interface. there're private protocols, e.g., the akai synthstation protocol. i hope alchemy mobile is updated to work with akai synthstation 49 soon!

alchemy mobile, samplewhiz, and the virsyn addictive synth will form the foundation of my 'micro studio' which is essentially apps -> korg KPQUAD -> zoom r8 or h4n.

things are moving quite fast now. i can already see doing most of my sound generation with an iPad and finishing on a portable hard disk recorder. i can compose/produce anywhere now. (i was programming the addictive synth right up to the start of 'detective dee' the other day.)

who needs a korg kronos when there's an ipad and a synthstation?
overthrow KRAPITALISM ! you have nothing to lose but your claims.

As far as we know the Akai Synthstation49 supports Core MIDI while the earlier 25 model does not. Alchemy Mobile works with Core MIDI which we've successfully tested with the Camera Connection Kit, iConnectMIDI and the Alesis ioDock.

Andy.

I like the app, i just wish there was a way to save what you've recorded and add layers of sounds

Good news :) The next update will offer a Bounce option, which mixes the synth part with the current played back loop. You can then play over this, and of course you can repeat this process as many times as you like, to build up as many parts as you like. Of course, you can't go back an edit existing parts, but it works well for coming up with ideas.
