That's actually the highest pre re-release bribe I've paid for a DAW. Even PT 9 was less, but then, my cousin has a friend at Avid.

The fix is in for Cubase 7, but it's early days yet. They want Euros.

Uhhh! So I can imitate synth pad with my voice and then from melodyne import this to midi track with any synth as a output. Jesus! That will be mindblowing.

Well don't get too excited yet over this Melodyne integration fellas. The rumor according to a poster at the Presonus forums is that the presenter in the video is actually using Melodyne Editor. Supposedly S1 v2 will be shipped with Melodyne Essential a cut down version. The upgrade to Melodyne Editor will set you back another $250. I hope that's not the case.

I guess we'll get all the details tomorrow.

I think it's unreasonable to expect them to give away their top technology for free so my guess would be if you want it (polyphonic editing) you'll have to pay for it.

Having said that... Essential without DNA, integrated like that, appears to be quite well done... and bundled free. Anyone wanting to do that kind of polyphonic editing would have to buy "Melodyne Editor" in any case, with any host.

Not sure how they could bundle it without dramatically increasing the price of the bundle.

Well there's three different versions, so maybe the top version includes more than the entry level version

I'm interested to see then if you own M.Editor (polyphonic) then it can be accessed in the same integrated way ... still very cool, and a USP for S1.
