Go to "unmentionable" and use the same loops and MY 3rd party plugs (much better) and it uses 1.1% cpu.

That may be so but I prefer Studio One any day over "unmentionable". why? "Unmentionable" is too primitive and seems too unfinished in my opinion. I get more inspiration when I fire up S1. Can't wait to see what's in store for v2.

hibidy, all I can think of, do you use: same BPM, same sample-rate, same bit-depth, Timestretch turned off?

Check in the top bar, go to:
Studio One > Options > (Top Tab: Audio Setup (check settings), then on bottom click "Song Setup" and check tickbox on bottom "Stretch Audio Loops to Song Tempo", or turn off Timestretch on individual tracks after you imported these into your project.

But but but, I have teh i7

@settings: They are the same settings.

I haven't fired up S1 in quite some time.

You sure they are all the same? Did you check if Multi-Processing is enabled, too? it sounds too much of a difference in CPU what you describe.

Five videos are available under "Recent Activity":

Oh yes, it's enabled.

At any rate, I'm not trying to rain on the parade, just pisses me off that it's SO much higher (and it's just loops). I did notice that there was a verb that really makes that cpu jump, but I haven't got the full version demo installed to match it up.

Anyways, I'll be curious for tomorrow.
