Just bought it, edit multiple midi notes in one window, folders within folders, volume fader for folders, the track list view, search function everywhere, instrument tabs so you don't need to click in the mixer to open each instrument.. that's a winner, haven't even scratched the surface yet.

Will sell Cubase6 within the next couple.

Seems you like V2 then

Go to the inspector view and add fx to certain audio clips too, melodyne rocks.

Ok, I had to wake up to pee anyway (TMI?) so I couldn't resist taking a quick look at the website.

Something that may be going unnoticed... Artist is still a free bundled DAW with their hardware and only $99 for sale direct... which is a bit staggering considering that it has...

- Multitrack Comping
- Audio Quantize / Audio Bending
- Per-Item FX
- Transform
- Groove Extraction

And will even run integrated Melodyne if you already own it. Honestly, Cubase Essential is $149 but for $199 you can get the Producer version if you need third party plugs... and Essential doesn't have any of that stuff.

I've never personally seen a bundled DAW (or a "lite" version of a major host) with all of that higher level stuff from the top dog.

MIDI/Instrument tracks don't have volume slider/control (front panel)

Can be found in Inspector though. "Instrument track to audio" option seems to be a new one for me...

Yeah I know Melodyne but this integration is amazing!! CPU of the Melodyne integration in polyphonic mode is around 6% max on my system.

I like the upgrade prices. I did the $10 Artist upgrade so I can have a play without any demo nonsense. That is a great price, especially given what Artist v1 was selling for.

I'll see if my melodyne works inside it.
