in the past ive owned alpha3 and albino3. i read a statement by steve jobs in the latest issue of bloomberg "Get your thinking clean to make it simple...

Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it's worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains."

so true.

i hope morphox get more features in the future. congrads peter on what i think is linplugs best work to date.

Thanks AstralExistence,
I completely agree with Steve Jobs at this point (as on many, many others), and I'm happy you get the idea behind MorphoX, besides the obvious features. Not sure how much it will grow, we're currently on two other Synth of ours, the Alpha to appear soon with a small update and CronoX for next year.
Thank you
Peter

so morphox is mostly a done deal? that's very disappointing to hear :( i hate buying 'dead products' ok. maybe i need to find a new synth thats isnt a done deal. i do hope you do update morphox to make it a bigger beast. because it has awesome potential as a 'work horse'

best.

First you're happy that it's simple then you're mad because it's finished..........

no. not better. but better in the ease of us. and speed in which you can, 'learn it inside and out' and program it. and sorry for that little 'snap' peter about ditching morphox because its a 'completed' synth. it is my favorite synth right now :)

All fine. I think we should refrain from kind of comparison like MorphoX is better or worse than Albino. Its neither, its a different instrument (you agree a piano is simple different from a Horn).

One thing I hear often, which simply is not true: If a product is not growing, its "dead". Its not, in fact it can be very alive, see Alpha in example: Alpha 3 was released early 2007, it since then saw updates for being 64 bit compatible, once on PC, then on Mac, compatibility with Win 7, now with OSX Lion, and a few bug fixes, which partly came up with new versions of DAW software. I would call this alive.

I too find that mind-set to be truly bizarre.

I have SO many amazing apps that haven't had ANY upgrades/updates for years, that still *function* AS INTENDED.

I control them with my Korg DW-8000, and Korg Karma. Both of which are very much "alive" as well. Curious.

Except a few maintenance updates, such as changing strings every 2-3 years, I haven't updated my guitars for like 30 years now.

I want to know too... Alpha3 is one of my go-to synths for certain types of sound.

MorphoX is overall the best soft synth I've used. I like simplicity, ease of use, and speed. It has a great sound and it is easy and fun to create new sounds fast.
