I just D/L'd the demo and I have to say....

S1/2 Pro sounds so much better than any other DAW...it is warmer, punchier and more analog than anything else

Actually it looks and feels really great and I have to say it is incredibly intuitive. For me it's like the anti-reaper in that everything is thought out and laid out where it "should" be.

In answer to someone's earlier question about Melodyne, I have the full Melodyne so it opens Melodyne Editor that has the DNA capability. Haven't actually tried polyphonic editing yet but should work just fine.

The Project/Mastering capability is really sweet and may be worth the price of the crossgrade by itself.

Thanks So DNA is the killer feature missing.

I'll watch this space for others who have Melodyne w/DNA feature enabled and see how they fare with S1 Pro v2.

Fwiw: If you don't really require "DNA" then you aren't missing anything.

Yes, it's really trick and cool, but do you need it for the type of music YOU produce???

I have Meledyne Studio (3.2.2), and like thousands of 'others' couldn't wait for "DNA"... but since it's been available, I haven't had one single instance or situation (other than "creative") where I would "need" it.

YMMV of course.

Is everyone having trouble accessing the site or logging onto the forum or is it just me? I understand it's popular but not being able to log in to the forums is kinda frustrating! Just tried sending a support ticket but got told i was registered, log into the help desk.

So tried looging in and told password wrong 3 times, please try again in 30 minutes! Aaaaargh!!!!

@dgkenny, how did you get the demo?

Dunno, just got lucky I guess. Got it at about 9:00am this morning by just clicking the D/L link on Presonus' pages. I was really only trying to find out how big the D/L was but since it doesn't include the sound content (smart move on their part) it was only ~ 50 megs - so I downloaded it.

Anyone demoing: Could you get record precount to work? Even though it's set to 2 here, it doesn't precount.

You guys that are having troubles downloading might want to check some settings or clear your cache. I just went straight there and downloaded it with no problems what-so-ever. It was a fast download, too, so I can't imagine there being too much server activity.

If you're using IE, you might want to clear your Temporary Internet Files folder.

Even I take a performance hit when a sever is overloaded.

Same thing here.
Precount dont work. Neither in Studio One 1 nor in Studio One 2.

Works fine just had to activate the lower symbol that looks like a pin dragged out
