Hard to say. Impact IS pretty damn cool......but I'm not sure I can give an a/b.

I like mostly like them though and I find the interface easy to use.

Reason 6 works great in Studio One in 64-bit mode. Yes, Studio One is the only host out there that supports the brand new 64-bit Rewire, with NO wrapper. So 64- it Reason works perfectly in it, and no issues so far for me.

Now that is excellent news... Just got the Studio One update but haven't tried 64bit rewire yet.

It seems like allot of the drag and drop features and single window owes alot to Ableton live..and thats a good thing...

EDIT: never mind.

For those who use Reason within Studio One. What is your work flow like? Do you do arrangements with the blocks options and use it for the sounds? or?

Post

hmmmm. I may just switch to 64 bit now... I use live 8 and reaper sometimes.
How does live 8 work with 64? assuming its just fine running the 32 bit live on a 64 bit os? what about reaper 64? hmmm.. if studio one 2 is already super solid on 64 bit... options... what plugins are not working good with studio one 2 now? Kontakt?

I think people just play/arrange everything in the master and just use Reason's sounds. At least that's how I used it 3 years ago or so for a project.

Does melodyne full work okay with artist? I'm thinking it might be worth the 10$ just to improve the ease of use of melodyne. If I remember correctly I could drag audio right between logic and studio one.

Does the S1 v2 Melodyne Essential integration qualify for Melodyne upgrades?
When upgrading Studio One, are you set back to full number of installable licences?

Yes and Yes. In fact, Celemony have a deal going right now. You can upgrade from Essential to editor for $150 and get a free upgrade to version 2 when it's released in November. I already jumped on it. Used the Essential version that I got with my upgrade to Studio One 2 to upgrade.

Is there a way to reverse samples in Impact?

That is very cool! I am glad I did not get Melodyne yet (was planning to get it for a while).

Me too. I almost bought Melodyne a few months ago, but decide to wait and see what Studio One 2 might have to offer for pitch correction. Glad I waited.
