FL Studio is the best ....
My sentiment exactly. I really can't imagine the situation where I would have to use my phone to bump out a track. I thought it would be fun to try, but there's really nothing productive that comes out of it.

Frankly, the best music apps for me are the recorders that allow pretty clear recording of voice, guitar, etc., when inspiration strikes. I'll take a lick or two from my guitar noodling and throw it into a full blown track on Cubase every once in a while.

A "bargin" copy of Cubase SX 1 on eBay. This was before they cleared their seas of buccaneers and corsairs...

I refused to place the disease ridden whore in my machine. I strung it from a yard arm in my studio as a reminder of the price we all ultimately pay for other men's booty.
eh?

Something i'd be proud to have my name associated with.

The guitar ampsims have been a real dissappointment, especially Amplitube but then I should have known better on that one as I think the PC versions sucks as well.

I ended up buying a Boss BR-80 for a postable solution. Did cost me 200 quid, but it sounds fab with loads of great backing tracks and an 8 track recorder.

MusicStudio was bit of a let down to begin with, but is now a great little app.

I don't regret any iApp purchases. I've only installed 5 apps on my iPad and I use each of them pretty regularly. TouchAble has all but replaced my APC-40 for me, TouchOSC is a great tool for creating custom control interfaces, I use the TC PolyTune app every time I pick up my guitar...

Of course I could get by without any of these apps but I do find them very useful. I'm very happy with my iPad as a multi-purpose production tool.

I'm thinking that has to do with skills then, and not the tool in this case.
Do you even own an iPad?

Yes Columbo I do.
So explain the Gorillaz then. Incredibly talented, incredibly famous. Album made on an iPad and its fvcking sh!t.

I found modrum to be quite useless, and didnt really like the sound either. Even though I bought it on sale, I regret this purchase.
Also, Xenon is a decent app and worth it for $5, but I wish I hadnt bought and that money couldve gone towards purchasing isyn poly or nanostudio.
