Wow!
This is a great synth, Thanks so much for making it free and for those who hosted mirrors.......

Since all servers are located in Europe, your download speed may be lower if you're in the US or Asia/Pacific.flynsk wrote:Getting 400k at the "fastest" mirror.
Thank you to those who were here earlier to set it up, and to the Dev for this extremely generous gift!
If someone in these areas offered another download possibility, it would be great.

Done! The new mirror takes just a little over a minute. Thanks Simonden for the temporary hosting! And thanks very much to Hermann and Mr. Palm for setting this free. I've had this synth from the beginning and I love it! It's nice to get the non-Steiny version and also it sounds like some minor but very cool tweaks were added so I think it's a good download even if you did have the original disk. At the very least you won't have to deal with the serial number in case you ever lose it!

Downloading from the above mirror and it is telling me 6 hours and 11 minutes at a whopping 5.3kb a second? That's pathetic! Just because the synth is from like 2001 doesn't mean the download speed has to be!dataminer wrote:arakula wrote:Mirror is there <sweat>...

Either try the alternative or come back tomorrow, when the current storm has ebbed off
JFTR - my little servers have sent out ~40GB in the last few hours. All of that is Plex. And if you got the "luck" to compete with someone who does it with a download manager that opens 5-10 concurrent connections, wellllll.... too bad.

Server is located in South London with fibre connections to 3 UK Datacenters and also has a softlayer to datacenters in Seattle, Dallas and Washington - so should be blazing in Europe or US.flynsk wrote:FYI -arakula wrote:...your download speed may be lower if you're in the US or Asia/Pacific.

No thanks needed to me - just my way of giving back to the devs for giving me a free synth (nb: i would offer the same to any other devs that want to give away their synth free to the masses - just PM me - although I may regret saying that!)Sequent wrote:Done! I left the house at 3hrs 32 min and five hours later it had failed, but the mirrors are now, after you lot had pulverized them, down to around 1 minute.
Thanks to everyone who made it possible, from the developer to the mirrormen and all folks inbetween. And for the transport info.
Ran out of time to try it today though.
