Ah, it has something to do with the ramp setting. Every value with "xxms absolute" causes noise.
Found it, it's indeed high quality+ramping in absolute mode.
I normally don't advise to use absolute ramping, it's there because it's how it works in Harmless. Relative produces sharper transients, but in this case I admit it sounds nicer in absolute mode.
Until the next release you'll have to render it with HQ off (it doesn't make any audible difference anyway).

Love this synth! The sound, the looks...
First VSTi ever that just clicks with me
Only wish they add .tun support at some point.

It is a masterpiece.

Each day my tense and weary fingers strain to reach out just a fraction of an inch more to find a tiny new outcropping to cling to on the abrasive and sunbleached surface of Harmor.

Hey, I know this may not be the right thread, just wondering:

Any Harmor owners having trouble editing the ENV data in ableton live?

All I get is the stupid "+" that only scales the view?

you should also be seeing a checkbox blinking, it says "freeze"

1. Enables the user to specify the Reference Frequency of the microtuning.

2. Enables the user to specify the MIDI note on which the 1/1 of the microtuning will be placed.
2. isn't important, because you can define this kb shift either in the synth itself or even in the sequencer.

For 1. I believe I picked middle C as the center, I don't quite remember. I was too surprised there were no base freq in those files, but I never quite understood the whole point of microtuning anway. Microtuning at a sequencer level, why not, but at a plugin level?

That format is also quite a mess, for something that's normally very simple.
Since it's importing in normal envelopes btw, we've been thinking of either allowing scripting on those envelopes, or allow import from XML files (or publish our FNV file format), so that external tools can generate precise envelopes.

But still, in the big archive of 4000 scales on the scala website, there isn't any .KBM file.

Sidulacra, here's a quote from the manual:
"Scalar files are supported, drop .scl files onto Harmor. .scl Scala tuning file: imports the tuning file into the pitch envelope. There is also a "just intonation" pitch kb mapping that can be loaded."

You can try demo to confirm.
BTW, while I completely agree with you, I prefer .tun format over .scl+keymapping combo by far (I rarely change tuning).
Thanks to tony tony chopper for the tip - I should've RTFM...

Surely your intention was to say that it isn't important to your music,
no, I meant that it's not important because you can transpose manually, either in Harmor itself or possibly in your sequencer. I mean you don't need to read a file to transpose the base note.

The base freq in Hz is in fact hackable in Harmor as well, but it would be much more complex. So yes it's a "problem".

About .tun vs .scl, we hesitated, & picked scl as we didn't know what was best.
