Here's a rough practice mix I did in v2 today. 75 total tracks including busses. Needs another 2-3 hours of work and lots more automation.

It's one of those mixoff.org projects.

 very nice work, Lawrence. I enjoyed that a lot although your voice is higher than I would have imagined. :o

yes yes, but that looks like a forum. Is there something specific about it?

I mean, you make a song and mix it for their review? You take a song someone else made and have a mix"off" ?

Exactly. Or you just critique someone else's mix giving constructive feedback and offering suggestions. Great for practicing mixing chops and/or getting ideas.

Wow! I installed the demo tonight and it crashed 8 times in a row over not liking several of my vsts. Well, I finally got it to launch, looks awesome (love the mixer view) but I'm missing a lot of things I do easily in reaper. I'll have to get used to the new format.

I'll keep playing with it and see where it leads...

In studio one vsts I load on a track are grouped into one window. It's really useful to minimize window clutter but sometimes I would like to have two or more windows separate e.g. equalizer and spectrum to see what exactly my eqing does to frequencies. How can I ungroup these vsts to separate windows?

on the plug-ins in the top right corner theres a "pin"icon press that and you can have more plugins open at the same time,if thats what you meant:)

I like the production and arrangement.

Agree, that's an excellent production and arrangement. When I heard it I had to download the files and give it a go.

Yes, this works when I load one plugin, press pin and then load second plugin - they are in separate windows. But what in case if I already have windows with several plugins grouped and I want to take one from that window to separate window? I can't figure this out. I press pin and nothing happens. Try to drag it out of the window, nothing.

Pin the current window and double click the plug in it's mixer slot and it will open in a new window.

To your point though, right clicking on a plug in the UI and getting a "New Window" context function to throw it to a new window would be nice. I had that thought myself a few times. Sounds like a good FR.

All of these various methods in various daws have a "Ying and Yang" thing going on, cause and effect. Something really good will almost always have a minor side effect that could be potentially not so good.

Anyway, I hope I was helpful to some here trying to learn this thing. Peace all...
