I downloaded PLEX2 all 200mb. I'm using Latest Ver. EnergyXT2
with XP sp3, M-audio 1010LT PCI and this is how it sounds.....

the first sound you hear is Preset 14 on button A from PLEX2, notice the static and poping? this happens at all volume levels on all presets.

second sound is a PAD sound from the energyXT2 sampler. It sounds crisp and clear, so i know the problem isn't my sound configuration.

does it sound staticy for anyone else thats tried it?

I'm getting static and popping too, more on some presets than others. Hope there's a way around it, as it is otherwise great.

well. im sorry you got the same problem. but i'm glad i'm not the only one.
i wonder if it's because im using XP instead of win7? what OS do you use?

XP 32-bit in 32-bit Reaper, I didn't notice any crackling... Will try with headphones later tonight.

Ditto with eXT and Reaper, no crackling, 32bit XP.
