I can open them fine in an editor
I was wondering if anybody had loaded their own into Plex

Thank you Layzer for the 44.1 info, and sorry it didn't gel with your setup. Works fine now. Strange synth, right up my alley!

I got a Intel 2.6ghz quad core xeon based PC with 4gigs ram
and a M-audio 1010LT PCI card with driver ver.5.10.00.0052

i got the static to go away. here is what i did.

I lowered the DAW sample rate from 48000 to 44100

and increased the aiso buffer size from 256 to 512.

that did the trick. hope this helps someone else.
Have you tried updating your driver? A quick look at Maudio site looks like the latest 1010LT win xp driver is 5.10.00.5057v3. Could be worth a try.
I've had MAJOR issues with my Maudio drivers although I am on Win7 x64

thanks for the heads up on the available updated driver....tried it out but unfortunately, static still happens just like in the old driver. *sigh*

And a very interesting resynthesis method, to boot! Looks and sounds like fun! Much obliged for the fast mirror!
+1

Great sounds!

Thanks so much for releasing this. I was disappointed it was discontinued.

11 minutes... :) thank God all you people are asleep. :P

This seems very interesting!

I just discovered this post now, and I haven't read through all of it, but anyway:

I hadn't heard about Wolfgang Palm (or Plex 2), but after reading up on Palm online, I decided I HAD to download this synthesizer. Simply an amazing offer! Seems I'm learning a lot about that type of legends of the business ATM. Yesterday it was P. J. Baxandall's discoverings in EQ'ing (via Dangerous' BAX EQ and Bootsy's amazing BaxterEQ plugin).

It can't be bad knowing the history and theory (at least the parts my brain can comprehend) of the hardware/software I/we use today :-)

I am downloading Plex 2 right now at a reasonable speed. Total file-size: 165MB, with 1 hour left.

Thanks for the tip!

one note on the analyser tool:
it's quite complicated to use, and needs some knowledge and user interaction.
so, there are no further plans to develope it.

if you read about the basic principle in the manual, you learn that the Base and Top resouces (Bxxxxx, Txxxxx) are
indeed waveforms, but are processed in a way, to make them "white" and "flat". so it would violate the basic principles
of the Plex (restructuring) synthesis, to use normal samples here!

Awwww, it seems really nice but it makes clicks on FL Studio :(

Try using fixed buffers option in FLS... And 44.1k samplerate. Although it works on 48k here too...

No need to develop it further... just leave it as it is, put some documentation about how to use it, and let the people struggle with it! ;)

I for one would love to be able to add new sources to Plex!

Thanks! Now it works fine.

Sounds really interesting, lots of sounds to play with. Thanks for releasing it! :)

layzer wrote:well, it kinda sucks that this plugin doesnt like the 48khz sample rate in the DAW. I have a analog to digital converter feeding my hardware synth mixer into the M-Audio 1010LT card's digital coaxial input. and the converter only outputs a 48khz rate. i can switch the 1010LT to internal clock and lock it at 44khz which is what PLEX2 likes, but cant use any hardware synths. ahhh well.
I'm at 48k. However, I'm not using M-Audio, but TC Electronics Impact Twin. A great interface! :D
I'm also running OK at 48k, my souncard is a TC Electronics Konekt 24. BTW Thank you Wolfgang!

 I just checked the server stats for my mirror as best I can (economy hosting, doesn't have great stats):
19 Sep - 18 Oct: 8GB
19 Oct - 18 Nov: 410GB.

Mm, I wonder how the remainder of the billing cycle will look! :)

32 bit windows only, that sucks, i really loved plex in the days
