I really wonder how many more 16/16 producer beatmachines the world needs.

NI should win an award for the most basic App ever made (by an advanced company)

Yup, export works fine. Pad groups and instruments come in on groups A to D with effects on group E, and sends to group E set up the way you set them up in the iMaschine mixer. Samples also transfer over properly. Pretty slick.

Apple seems to have success with that formula LOLtopaz wrote:NI should win an award for the most basic App ever made (by an advanced company)

Yep. It not being a universal app - IPad user here - is dissapointing. The IPhone 2x magnifying mode is ugly on an Ipad.topaz wrote:NI should win an award for the most basic App ever made (by an advanced company)

Real shame there is no iPad version or at least it is a universal App.FrankT wrote:Yep. It not being a universal app - IPad user here - is dissapointing. The IPhone 2x magnifying mode is ugly on an Ipad.topaz wrote:NI should win an award for the most basic App ever made (by an advanced company)
I know what you mean about the 2x zoom thing on the iPad. What gets me about this is that if you jailbreak your iPad you can enable a sort of retina mode for iPhone Apps so that zoomed Apps look sharp. There are videos demoing this on YouTube. Disappointing that this mode is not available without jail breaking your iPad!

I'm guessing they rushed this out to be parallel with the Mikro launch. NI does update their software so here's hoping the iOS stuff will be the same.
To me it feels like they got basic functionality going and got it in the store ASAP.
It is extremely basic as it stands, although I am enjoying pissing about with it. Could be very good if they loosen up a bit over at NI. If they are worried about an iPad version killing Maschine sales then why not release a 'Pro' version for iPad and a software only version of the Maschine VSTi.
As it stands I'm probably going to sell my Nerve/PadKontrol combo and grab the Mikro as this compatibility between the iPad and my studio is what I've really hoped my iPad would become.

Boo
It doesn't beat match loops or musical phrases. How dumb is that. If you stray from the recorded bpm then you get out of sync.

i dont know why so many people are so negative here. Take it for what it is.. a musical sketchpad. I am soooo happy that it is so simple and streamlied. I have a whole bunch of more comprehensive sequencer type of apps on my phone but they try and do too many things and in the end i play with them for a day or two after purchasing and then never look at them aain. i got imachine a few days ago and have been playing with it non stop. yes it doesnt do everything and there is no sequencer but it fits my needs perfectly. i love drum machines and making loops but i absolutely hate being hunched over my computer (after coming home from work after 9 hours of sitting in front of a computer) and simply playing around with ideas and loops and drums sounds is simply way more fun when i hve it in my hand as opposed to dicking around with endless mouse clicks in logic or whatever other sequencer. i love this thing. i've improted a bunch of vengeance samples and i couldnt be any happier. When i'm happy with a loop i created in the app i just record it into logic express as audio and im done... and awesome way to start new projects or come up with fresh ideas... and for me the best ideas happen when i'm NOT in front of the computer!!!!! THANK YOU NI!!!!!!!!

i think it's great, and better for maschine users, so easy to use, i would really like to see a step sequencer or something to edit the little mistakes you make if you're not using the quantize function.
Who is this doing this synthetic type of alpha beta psychedelic funkin'?
