Hi, I'm self taught on keyboards, and wondering what rt. hand fingering I should use for this phrase, which I can't play fast or accurately enough.
Its just a 4 note phrase, starting high and descending 3 or 4 octaves, each note has the same length.
D C# B F# repeat an octave lower, etc over 3 or 4 octaves.
I have been starting with my pinky but then have a big leap down to contend with, maybe I should be starting with my thumb and doing some of that tricky fingering that pianists do. I'll need to practice but wanna practice with good technique in mind.
Thanks!

I would play it 1-4-3-2-1-4-3-2 and so onsomeone called simon wrote:Hi, I'm self taught on keyboards, and wondering what rt. hand fingering I should use for this phrase, which I can't play fast or accurately enough.

That was my first thought, but I suggest giving 1-5-4-2-1-5-4-2 a shot as well. If you can get the pinky passing the thumb, the rest falls right into place.Sampleconstruct wrote: I would play it 1-4-3-2-1-4-3-2 and so on

I agree with 1-4-3-2-1-4-3-2 as well. It certainly feels the most natural.
