I'll choose Diva :)
I want MFM2 since foverer but the recent screens and audio demos of Diva are just to good :hihi:
I don't need another synth but I don't need another delay either :hihi:
But I could use a synth more. Especially because I like to make presets for synths (As you may have noticed :hihi:).
I especially like to get the most out of a limited feature set and that's exactly what Diva offers :)

Thanks again everybody! Very kind of you all!
I promise I'll try to give something back to the community :)

I'll email Urs now

Cheers
Dennis

I can't believe anyone would; it's a very generous gesture on Hakey's part and, judging from where you cast your votes, you're clearly a man of exquisite taste and discernment :D Enjoy it!

I'll try to get an alpha going till your birthday!

(we're leaving missing features aside for now and concentrate on getting her into a state where a saved preset is supposed to sound identical a month later)

Hi,

Nice double win :D. I don't remember how The wash sounds now, but was really surprised about the sound of Herbie patch as I first when through all patches :D. Something like " Whaat..?, zebralette? really?" went through mind :D. Similar Zebra patch from me uses 5 sound modules and this only 1 :D.

MOTORrrrreeeal and Transformers were cool patches, was abit surprised that you could make these sounds with zebralette.

Just checked them out! Great stuff as always.. but I gotta say, since I'm spending so much time in Zebra, I'm staring to miss some of the action with regards to Zebralette....:D but, in some cases I'm surprised how well Zebralette manage to get on her own!

Congrats Hakey. A well deserved win.

There were definitely some varied and inspiring patches all around.

joining the chorus: big congrats to hakey! well deserved! your crafty sound design is awesome. and kudos also for your generosity hakey, with both prize and patches.

fwiw, it occurs to me that secret voting need not preclude open authorship and discussion of patches while voting is in progress. i missed the color commentary of previous patch contests.

also fwiw, i'd prefer more focussed contests in the future. personally i couldn't really separate my own preference for certain types of patches from my judgement of patch quality. some technically great patches just didn't appeal to me. this might be less of an issue if the goal of the contest were more particular than "anything with synth XXX".

finally fwiw, feedback on my androchoir and mutieclav patches would be welcome. (though i already realize the mutieclav Filter would be better modulated by Env1. patches are never really finished, are they? :^)

enjoy! /dan

(edit to specify which patch i tweaked)

Could be problematic, with people overtly or subtly influencing others about their own patches. I'm all for commentary at the end of a secret ballot though! ;)

Also potentially problematic. We've had contests where very few people actually submit patches and the most common complaint besides "I forgot" was "Not my style of X". We've had to try to find a balance between extremes and have had the best turnouts on the freebie synths (Zebralette, Tyrell) and allowing people to make anything. It's still something we can try to fine-tune, I'm not against focus. :)

I had a really hard time judging this... There were a lot of really nice sounds, particularly the *epic* pad sounds which I think is one of Z'ette's strong points (apart from, basically, everything :P)

I thought the SAX patch was also pretty impressive, in that it was an emulation and a very good one at that.

I was also suprised my Dropping Metal was more popular than Void Tripper. I much preferred Void Tripper and was a bit concerned that I'd maybe put Metal in just to make up the numbers. To properly audition Void Tripper, play an octave interval in the bass with your left hand, and play some 4 note chords at the top with your right hand. Then use your mind to slowly turn the mod wheel :)
