"Midi import failed" and "File error - load failed"

Working with REAPER 4.10, Windows 7. Just switched to a new PC.

Please forgive my tech-challenged way of describing these problems.

I've got three problems with my Linplug plugins:

1) Every time I open up REAPER, I get an error message that says "Midi import failed". In the dialog box it says: "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins\RMIV_Grooves\...\m i4." It pops up about 6-7 times every time I open a new project. The thing is, there are no RMIV_Grooves files among my plugins. I've had this probelm for over a year and, while it is nothing more than a nuisance, I'm ready to see it go away.

2) This problem started after I transferred my project files to my new computer: I'm getting a "File Error - Load failed" message, and REAPER is not finding the plug-in presets, even though the search path is set up correctly. REAPER seems to be stuck in the old search path which was "C:\Program\Steinberg\VST Plugins\...etc" instead of "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steinberg\VST Plugins\...etc".

3) Since I re-installed the plugins on my new PC, the backside of the plugin keeps popping up, as if I needed to enter the license key. But when I click on the plugin name, it switches around and displays the front side, like normal. The disturbing thing is that it keeps displying the back side of the plugin, every time I go to it.

These problems seem to be specific to Linplug software (I'm using Rob Papen Linplug Albino3 and Linplug RMIV Drum addiction. Other plugs seem to be working without problems.

Any clues on these phenomenoms?

I've got two problems with file search paths for Rob Papen Linplug Albino3 and Linplug RMIV Drum addiction. Other plugs seem to be working without problems.

1) Every time I open up REAPER, I get an error message that says "Midi import failed". In the dialog box it says: "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins\RMIV_Grooves\...\m i4."

2) This next problem is more urgent, and it started after I transferred my project files to my new computer: I'm getting a "File Error - Load failed" message, and REAPER is not finding the plug-in presets, even though the search path is set up correctly. REAPER seems to be stuck in the old search path which was "C:\Program\Steinberg\VST Plugins\...etc" instead of "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steinberg\VST Plugins\...etc".

Any clues on these two phenomenoms?
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

I'm still looking for help on this, to be clear! Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!

As aboout 1. an 2., these most likely come from RMIV not finding its library on startup. RMIV was quite simply made in this respect, so two things could cause this:
a) when you moved the library after installation, RMIV wont find it anymore, and it runs in this issue over and over
b) when you load a song made with RMIV previously loading its MIDI and Kits from a different location as now. I thought we had some simple relocation mechanism implemented, but it might well be it failed at certain setups; I honestly dont know anymore. The only solution would be to have everything at the same place (though this advice comes to late for you); in example I always have my plugins in C:\VSTPlugins.

So, the cumbersome but maybe only solution: Put the RMIV stuff where it has been on your old machine.

About 3. I would suggest entering your serial numbers, so you are not given the opportunity to do so again and again.
