We have a couple of APC20's, APC40's & Livid Block's on route to us now.

EDIT: BUT wait until we make an official announcement before buying anything OK :)

Keep us updated on what controllers you get working and which work the best pleases Scott
I'm leaning towards the Launchpad at the minute, the price/performance ratio is pretty damn high on those
But interested if anything ends up being better suited

Post

Surely there must be iOS apps that do the same as the Launchpad?

There is - TochOSC that we use in the above video, there are others, but it's the first one we tried so far. You can make any GUI you like.

The LP is probably due for an upgrade soon. It only has usb 1.0 and when doing advanced midi routing in Live will stutter. If all your doing is just triggering some clips than it should be fine.

If you can save the cash I'd grab ohm 64.

@ image line. I'd be great if you guys get something up and running with the apc 40. You'd have some folks buying FL if you get a good apc implementation. As well what about axiom pro hyper control stuff? On reason I don't mess with fl is that I don't want to go back to doing everything with a mouse.

Looks really promising feature addition that has me thinking about FL.
no purchase until everything goes to usb 3.0 and all hosts are 64 bit!

Apc40 support please!!

Oh yeah TouchOsc I have but haven't seen a Launchpad template like that - do you have a link for it?

I've been using Fl for 8 years and love it best of all Daws but don't have one finished song - just thousands of unfinished tunes cosisting of loops on different patterns that I could never find time/motiation to arrange on the playlist into a proper track structure for 7 - 8 minutes (house/techno).

I've explored other Daws plus thought of buying grooveboxes and Maschine etc to help me produce a finished track but this looks like it'll be the killer feature that'll turn my loops into a song as I lay them down live.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

CAN NOT WAIT!!!!

PLEASE LET IT BE OUT SOON :)

Any chance of support for my hoary old BCF & BCR2000's ...?

While I understand the fun of having an external controller such as the Launchpad, hopefully they'll be an option to trigger clips with an internal controller - maybe even the possibility to create our own controllers with the fl dashboard?

So something like a virtual novation launnchpad could be created and clicking on a pad on screen triggers the clips etc...and it could have x/y pads so that realtime automation of filters etc could be captured and added to the playlist.

Using the dashoard we could create the ultimate monster controller - one screen of knobs and buttons to control/automate/tweak every plugin, effect and channel settings in the song, live!

OMG! Cool! as the kids say :)

I don't use FLStudio that much since Ableton, but would use it much more when you add these kinds of features.

Truly great news!

Oh ok i thought you might already have Maschine. If NI are not being friendly does that mean it won't get this support?

You can just click on the clips with the mouse to trigger them, no need for a controller. A normal midi or typing keyboard will work as well.
