There's a new version of PLEX 2 available at

http://plex.hermannseib.com

now.

Highlights in V2.0.4 beta:

.) it comes with an additional DLL now - Plex64.dll is a 64bit version of PLEX2. Works in 64-bit hosts only, just in case this is not clear 8-)

Since this made it necessary to lift the complete PlugIn from VST SDK 2.2 (yep, that old) to VST SDK 2.4, quite a lot of changes had to be made. While we did our best to test it thoroughly, there may still be hidden problems, so we decided to label this as a Beta version. If you run into problems that weren't there in the original, please report them.

.) mouse wheel support which didn't work in contemporary hosts (REAPER et al.) should be OK now.

.) the English and German manuals have been updated with the new PLEX2 features, provided by the originals' author. Thank you very much!

For those who already have the original PLEX2 download - please download only the update and copy its contents over the original - it saves you time and me a major headache 8-)

Also, it would be nice if the mirror maintainers updated their mirrors and reported the availability (or removal of the mirror) here.

That said - have fun with PLEX2!

Well bloody hell! I wished for this to happen, but did not actually expect it. And here comes Hermann Seib with more great news from Wolfgang Palm! I AM A VERY HAPPY PERSON NOW!!!

Thanks to Hermann for bringing the good news, thanks to Wolfgang for BEING AN AWESOMELY COOL GUY ALTOGETHER! :)

So, the only thing that Plex would now need is creating and importing user partials, right? :)

Zoom in, most web browsers support that feature today ;)

Anyways, this is awesome. No bit bridging, mousewheeling works in Reaper... Wolfgang, you really love this synth, when you're updating it even if you said that no updates are to be expected? ;)

Why are you so cool? :D

Post

no no, i shouldn't read it :)

the most work on this update did Hermann!
many thanks for that, Arakula !

Both the new patch file (04) and the main big zip are up. I noticed a much faster download when pulling the files this time - cool! :)

The patch is for those who already have the original. If you get the big zip, you don't need no .. patches.

Oi! You changed your reply :P

Yeah, after I reread your post I noticed where I misunderstood it. I'm brainfarting a lot this morning... :D

Post

I hate to say it, but could the mirror providers please update their index.html from
http://plex.seib.info
again? I've fixed some little problems on it.

Thank you,

Hermann

i bought Plex long ago and i really love(d) it. it's just, i can't use it on my macbook (and i don't have space for 'Parallel Desktops' etc.)
if there were more people interested in a mac intel version and willing to pay a certain amount of money to sb, who could port it to mac, would Wolfgang share the code with this person?

is there a person, who'd like to port it to mac (at least 1.6)?

thanks
