Porting went quickly and then we found some problems that slowed things down. We realized we cannot release the OS X version before Christmas, so we decided to postpone it to early next year. In December we will release an update for the PC version, a VST plug-in version that everyone can use in his favourite DAW. Sorry for the delay, but a porting effort cannot be estimated too well.
Thank you,
Attila

Can you tell a little bit more about that? How will it work? Will there be synchronisation between the DAW and the RapidComposer-plugin? Will it be possible to load multiple instances of the RC-plugin into the DAW and run them simultaneously? If yes, can every instance of the RC-plugin have its own progression (multi tonality)? Will the output of one instance of the RC-plugin be limited to the 16 MIDI-channels?In December we will release an update for the PC version, a VST plug-in version that everyone can use in his favourite DAW.
thanks
J.

Hello,
yes, playback is synchronized between the DAW and the RapidComposer-plugin. RapidComposer will render what the host requires, e.g. when the host wants events between sample position 48000 and 48128, RC will send the MIDI events (if there are any) to the host, and the host routes the MIDI data to the tracks associated with this plug-in and midi channel. A VST plug-in cannot send transport changes to a host, so all transport controls will be removed from RC. It would be good to load multiple instances of the RC-plugin into a host, but in the first version only one instance will be possible. The output won't be limited to 16 channels, actually I am not sure how many channels DAWs can usually get from VST plug-ins, but RC will not be the limitation.
Thank you for your questions.

I can't wait! This will be awesome, Attila!
And by new version, you mean RC 2.0, correct?

Hi Como,
thank you for your comment.
Here is a screenshot for the OS X version:
http://www.musicdevelopments.com/images ... hotOSX.png
The fonts are to be improved but everything is functional.
This is not yet the 2.0 version, which will feature a totally redesigned UI.
At the moment I am busy finishing the VST plug-in version which is released before Christmas, I hope.
Thanks,
Attila
