I just bought this and it's very useful. What it really needs though is a recorder module so you can say insert it at different points in the fx chain and make different recordings

Actually I do the same using an empty Guitar Rig apart from the tapedeck to record - but I prefer Edison's drag/drop and editing capabilities.

what this plug really needs is a vsti version besides the fx one...so that it can receive midi notes
...and some bug fixes....it crashes renoise as soon as you load it.

Even though there is no dedicated VSTi version (a la Plogue Bidule), you can simply insert it onto an otherwise-empty audio track, and, provided the host's MIDI tracks offer the possibility, you can route a MIDI track's output to the MIDI input of the MetaPlugin insert FX (e.g. you can do this in Cubase). That audio channel effectively then becomes the VSTi channel for whatever VST or AU plugin you load into MetaPlugin.hcv242 wrote:what this plug really needs is a vsti version besides the fx one...so that it can receive midi notes

On the other hand, it does not pass any MIDI output back to the host's MIDI tracks' inputs.
Btw, MetaPlugin does have a Mac version (I'm using it)
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

That's excellent newsdocdued wrote:It can be loaded as an instrument already, but Cubase, for instance, wants a separate dll for that. I'm in the process of updating it, hang in there.
I was delighted to see MIDI Input implemented, but please include Thru-put for loaded plugins that transmit MIDI data
